What we require:
Essential function of the job requires you to climb ladders. You must be able to meet manufacturer's safety requirements on equipment used. Candidate's body weight + 25 lbs of tools/equipment must not exceed 375 pounds.

To be considered for this position you must have the following:
Possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in cable pulling, termination, or a related field is preferred. On-the-job training will be provided for those with less experience.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 44 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces. Must be able to work at heights above 20', which includes climbing a ladder, and in various weather conditions.
Technical Skills: Proficient in cable pulling techniques, and cable termination, including fiber optic splicing and copper crimping. Familiarity with testing equipment and tools used in the industry.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license. Certifications in Single Man Lift, fiber optic and copper cabling (e.g., BICSI, FOA) and OSHA 10 or 30 certification are a plus.

Position Summary:
+ The standard function of the position is to install commercial alarm, fire, CCTV, and Card Access systems. Works with minimal supervision and may provide training and assistance to less senior installers and trainees.
Duties And Responsibilities
+ Installs commercial alarm, fire, CCTV, and Card Access systems.
+ Must have an ability to proctor, coach, and teach others.
+ Provides reliable, high quality customer support.
+ Performs customer instruction on system operation and functionality.
+ Performs system testing and signal verification.
+ Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
+ Performs new system installations, upgrades, and additions.
+ Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
+ Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
+ Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
+ Must have a strong work ethic.
+ Must be detail-oriented.
+ Must complete other projects, as assigned.
Qualifications - External
+ Minimum Qualifications (Education, Skills & Experience):
+ Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
+ Must have three or more years of experience.
+ Must have mastery knowledge of commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems.
+ Must have a working knowledge to full understanding of local/national codes.
+ Must have a valid driver's license and be able to clear a drug screening.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprint, schematics, diagrams, policies, procedures, etc. as presented in English
Certification/Licensing:
+ Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses that are required by national, state and local codes.
+ Requires 50 % to 75 % proficiency in Everon Commercial's Tier 1 product offerings.

+ Exposure to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments.

+ Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.
+ Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
+ Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with "on call availability" and must be able to travel on short notice.
+ Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.

We want to hire motivated individuals to work as service and installation technicians. Our service territory includes West and Central Ohio, and Eastern parts of Indiana. This job would require around 40 to 45 hours per week with paid travel typically within 1 hour or less from our location. Home every night with pay to and from job sites. A great work environment that is very flexible with a great variety of different projects and job locations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Traveling to customer's homes or place of business
Install, repair, upgrade, and maintain both commercial and residential garage doors, entry doors, & windows
Provide user instructions to customers
Track and maintain job-related paperwork and submit it in a timely manner
Maintain a clean job site
EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Construction experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right individual
A high level of attention to detail
Communication skills
Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot problems and repair equipment
Have a mechanical aptitude
Valid state license
Team player and positive attitude

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Splicing loose tube fiber
Splicing ribbon fiber
Perform testing OTDR and maintaining documents.
Troubleshooting fiber networks
Case audits
Work in a team environment.
On call rotation for emergency work/repair.
Proficient in using EXFO and Fujikura products.
Build splice cases to our standards and customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
FOA or related certification
5 years of relevant experience
Minium Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Clean driving record
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions

Requirements
What We're Looking For?
Experience with fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of OTDR testing, bonding/grounding, and fiber documentation
Ability to read and follow engineering blueprints
Physical ability to bend, climb, lift (up to 80 lbs), and work in tight spaces
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong communication skills and commitment to quality and safety
What You'll Do
Splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables to deliver high-performance connectivity
Perform OTDR testing to verify splices, identify loss points, and ensure network integrity
Interpret blueprints and splice diagrams to complete projects accurately and efficiently
Troubleshoot and repair fiber issues to keep customers connected
Create and maintain as-built documentation and daily production reports
Work both independently and as part of a team to meet project goals
