We are assisting our local client in their search for a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, general, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable operations by maintaining equipment performance, addressing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform preventive and general maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
Install, repair, and maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with machine manuals, blueprints, and applicable building codes with minimal supervision.
Maintain and repair:
Electrical wiring and systems (single-phase and three-phase)
Plumbing systems and fixtures
Motors, engines, CNC equipment, pneumatic systems, and PLC-controlled equipment
Assist senior or higher-level maintenance personnel as needed.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to reduce the risk of injury or equipment damage.
Perform facility and grounds maintenance as required.
Participate in on-call rotation to support off-hours maintenance needs.
Travel occasionally for equipment support, parts pickup, or service-related needs.
Use personal vehicle on an occasional basis for pickup or delivery of machine parts, as required.
Once proficiency is demonstrated, assist with training and mentoring other maintenance team members.
Perform other maintenance and facilities-related duties as assigned.

THE ROLE
