PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Inspects, tests, repairs and calibrates instrument systems including reactor and turbine plant control and protective equipment, radiation counting and detecting instrumentation and security equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Tests all types of meters and gauges in the plant.
Performs corrective or routine maintenance duties including decontamination, cleaning and replacing components of circuits.
Maintains accurate records of instrument calibration and work performed.
Installs, tests and maintains all types of relays when used in connection with the most involved control systems and equipment arrangements at major stations on the bulk power system.
Tests equipment involving the bulk power system such as large circuit breakers.
Tests and maintains the complicated equipment such as supervisory, tone, telemetering and carrier equipment.
Reviews and analyzes problems to recommend improvements and modifications in organization, procedures, policies, standards, specifications, methods, processes, and equipment.
To be assigned as needed to support decon, housekeeping, painting, calibration or tool room work and other duties as assigned by the Company.
Provides training and oversight to other personnel.
Performs emergency response duties as assigned.
Assists other maintenance and modifications crafts.
This position requires the completion of an I&C Technician qualification book.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have satisfactorily completed an accredited power plant process controls training program OR
Possess an associate degree in electrical technology, and have a minimum of 2 years power plant process controls maintenance experience (Trades, Manufacturing, Navy Nuclear)
May be subject to certification and recertification with periodic reviews if required by NRC or industry standards.
Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of this position.
Must pass a validated aptitude test.
Must meet requirement of NRC psychological testing regulations.
Must satisfactorily complete Plant Access Training and complete the Radiation Safety Training including Respirator Qualifications and maintain unescorted access.
Must successfully complete and maintain an Associate I&C Technician qualification book as determined by the Company.

Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, modify, and refurbish industrial washing, sterilization, and surgical equipment and system components.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment from multiple manufacturers, including Getinge (CASTLE), Steris (AMSCO), Consolidated, Tuttnauer, and others.
Service a range of devices, including autoclaves, rack washers, tunnel washers, bottle fillers, bedding dispensers, blanket warmers, surgical lights, and surgical tables.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training in mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems preferred.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
1-3 years of related field service or technical maintenance experience; or 3-5 years of hands-on experience without formal training.
Strong technical, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with the repair and maintenance of Getinge (CASTLE) and/or Steris (AMSCO) washing, sterilization, and surgical equipment preferred.

* Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
* OEM training and certifications are preferred.
* Participate in and complete all-in company required training
* This position follows regulations issued by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.

This role supports production as an automation technician of manufacturing operations. Essential Functions*:
Install, setup, maintain, troubleshoot and repair, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and ultrasonic equipment.
Perform routine diagnostic checks and monitoring of automated systems. Troubleshoot and repair automated systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensors, feedback systems or pneumatics.
Perform tasks such as preventive maintenance, line changeovers and equipment repair in a timely manner to avoid disruption to the production schedule.
Manage and sustain the preventive maintenance activities using the Periodic Preventive Maintenance (PPM) database.
Directly support development and installation of new production processes. Provide control system assistance during new or modified equipment startup.
Create and update product drawings, fixturing, work instructions, test procedures and quality assurance requirements. Assist with any documentation updates to procedures or processes within work center.
Validate or re-validate process and fixture capability.
Participate in overall improvement activities leading to improved safety, enhanced efficiencies, better quality, and lower costs based on input obtained from cross functional sources including engineering, production and maintenance.
Achieve production goals in accordance with scheduled build plans.

Education / Training / Skills / Experience:
Associates of Science; Engineering discipline preferred.
