Our Robot Technicians will execute robot fleet repair throughout the shift, troubleshoot unexpected situations that may arise, and work effectively to keep our robots in operation. Job Responsibilities: Technical Tasks: Maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots through daily maintenance and repair tasks. Which can include but is not limited to - diagnosing unforeseen problems, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment (tires, electronics, motors). Carrying out preventive maintenance activities and upgrades on robots and infrastructure. Monitoring and servicing our internal systems, running tests and completing reports, and completing updates or improvements to existing systems as appropriate. Perform root cause analysis to identify the causes of faults or problems and systematically develop a solution to prevent/solve underlying issues. Operational Tasks: Accurately document all tasks/partner or internal messaging related to service concerns or robot-related issues using appropriate applications/tools. Maintain a clean and organized hub by performing accurate spare parts inventory audits twice a week and ensuring all tools are accounted for and returned to their proper location after use. Work with our engineering team to identify any potential improvements regarding robot health and design. Assist our Operational Team and vendors/merchants by providing in-person assistance through performing weekly Merchant Preflights to understand any service-related issues, provide operational and troubleshooting assistance related to Starship-provided devices, and act as a Starship brand representative while interacting with clients. Occasionally support our Operational Service team by assisting with Robot field rescues or operational services tasks when needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: A passion for robots and innovative technologies. Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or another related STEM field. Previous experience in Technical Support and with any service desk application is beneficial, but not required. Good knowledge regarding mechanics, electronics, and IT. Excellent client-facing skills. Self-starter; takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin projects independently. Experience & Education Requirements: Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, CLI tools, and scripting preferred, but not required. Hobby projects in electronics or mechanics. Previous experience in managing a large fleet of devices. Job Description Position Purpose: Veolia is seeking a Water Treatment Process and Industrial Instrumentation Technician (union position, on-call) to support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of water treatment plant and distribution system equipment. This role focuses on the installation, calibration, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial instrumentation and control systems from manufacturers such as Siemens, Hach, and Endress+Hauser, Allen Bradley as well as the operation and monitoring of water quality instrumentation, analyzers, and SCADA/PLC systems. The technician will work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with water quality standards and maximize system efficiency. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair industrial instrumentation and control equipment (flow meters, analyzers, transmitters, sensors, etc.) Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instrumentation, PLCs, and SCADA systems, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime. Experienced with water treatment plant and distribution system equipment, including pumps, valves, and chemical feed systems. Collect and analyze water and sludge samples; perform chemical and analytical testing. Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections of equipment. Maintain accurate records of work performed, calibration data, and equipment inventory using CMMS and other methods. Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics for installation and troubleshooting. Work with manufactures representatives to assist in troubleshooting and repair. Collaborate with engineering operations and maintenance teams for process optimization and system upgrades. Respond to alarms, emergencies, and participate in an on-call for after-hours support. Adhere to and promote Veolia's safety policies and practices. With proper electrical background, installs, maintains, services, tests, calibrates and repairs all instrumentation and measuring equipment, including telemetering and supervisory controls at all stations and other locations as assigned. Reads and works from schematics, wiring diagrams, electrical blueprints and drawings. Must keep abreast of rapidly changing technology by acquiring and maintaining the skills and knowledge needed through a company assisted training program. Keeps records of equipment maintained and repaired. Uses, adjusts, and repairs electronic testing equipment. Performs other similar or less skilled work as assigned. Assists employees of a higher classification as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience/Background: High School Diploma/GED is required. Electrical experience required. Demonstrated experience with Siemens, Hach, Endress+Hauser, or similar industrial instrumentation. Experience in water treatment plant operations, distribution systems, or industrial instrumentation and automation. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA system interfaces. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Computer literacy with Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills. Ability to interface with technical solutions resources from manufacturers and representatives. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Required Certification/Licenses/Training: Trade school certification in industrial instrumentation, electronics, or a related field preferred. Valid driver's license is required. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Normal visual acuity, manual dexterity, and hearing ability. Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and detect odors.
