Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. Applies electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, usually under the direction of engineering staff, to design, build, repair, adjust, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. Required experience: Have three (3) years aviation experience in electronics maintenance/repair, Required education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Shall be a graduate from a two (2) year Electronics Technician resident course at an accredited institute. Compensation $41.72/hour Other Compensation Employees who elect to waive health insurance coverage may elect to receive an opt-out of $4.57 per hour for up to 40 hours per week. POSITION PURPOSE The Controls Service Technician role primarily involves starting up, trouble shooting and repairing complex controls on HVAC equipment consisting of primarily, but not limited to, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, dedicated outside air units, hot water boilers, computer room units, water source heat pumps, VAVs, packaged rooftops and split DX units. Primary Responsibilities Core Pipeline Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair work on oil and/or gas pipelines, metering stations, and related equipment. Launch and receive pigs; perform measurement and valve actuator repairs. Meter proving and chromatograph analysis for accurate measurement. Install, maintain, and calibrate EFMs, flow computers, and dry flow chart recorders. Collect gas samples and review measurement charts for accuracy.
