Job Summary: The Engineering Technologist will assist in the design, development, and testing of aerospace and turbomachinery components in support of customer programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Support the engineering team in developing design sketches, layouts, schematics, 3D models, and drawings. Assist in the selection of materials and components and help identify product specifications. Support the definition of input boundary conditions (loads, pressures, temperatures, etc.) for analysis. Perform basic hand calculations or assist with finite element analysis (FEA) under the guidance of senior engineers. Help review test data and model results, identify discrepancies, and propose design improvements. Participate in team meetings to establish project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal or customer review. Support project activities to meet schedule and budget requirements. Requirements (Education & Experience): Bachelor's degree in mathematics, science, or related technical field. Will consider applicants with an Associate technical degree in Engineering or related field. 0-2 years of relevant experience (internship or co-op experience strongly preferred) Working knowledge of engineering fundamentals. Familiarity with tools such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, Fluent, CFX, etc. is a plus. Basic proficiency with CAD Modeling tools - Unigraphics, ProE, Autocad, Catia, etc. is a plus. Understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, materials. Microsoft Office Products - Excel, Power Point, Word, etc. Effective communication skills and teamwork in a fast-paced engineering environment. Interpersonal skills - able to work well with and motivate/teach others. Must be able to multi-task as required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical direction.
