Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including power distribution panels, MCCs, transformers, branch circuits, motors, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment, and lighting systems.
Perform root-cause diagnostics on electrical faults, equipment failures, and automation issues using multimeters, megohm meters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical test instruments.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and instrumentation in accordance with SOPs, cGMP, and CMMS work orders.
Install and terminate conduit, wiring, cable trays, and associated hardware in compliance with NEC standards and site specifications.
Support manufacturing and packaging operations by troubleshooting electrical components on OSD production equipment (granulation, compression, coating, encapsulation, blending, and bottle packaging lines).
Assist with integration, installation, and startup of new equipment, including wiring, controls, calibration, and system verification activities.
Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, work orders, calibrations, and electrical modifications in accordance with ALCOA+ data-integrity guidelines.
Verify electrical system safety, grounding integrity, and equipment compatibility prior to energization.
Partner with engineering and validation teams to support equipment upgrades, capital projects, and requalification activities.
Respond to equipment or facility electrical emergencies as required to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
Ensure compliance with all site SOPs, cGMP requirements, OSHA and EPA regulations, and DEA guidelines.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment to support audit-ready operations.
Education & Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of an accredited electrical trade school, vocational program, or apprenticeship strongly preferred.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Additional electrical or controls-related certifications preferred.
Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred (not required but advantageous).
5-7 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience required; experience in pharmaceutical, food, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with industrial power systems, automation equipment, and electrical controls.
Experience supporting manufacturing or packaging equipment in a production environment.
Strong proficiency in interpreting electrical diagrams, single-line drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and control wiring diagrams.
Skilled in diagnosing and repairing motors, VFDs, motor starters, control circuits, relays, instrumentation, and low-voltage systems.
Working knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical safety practices including LOTO, arc-flash, and PPE.
Familiarity with PLC-based systems and industrial automation (Allen-Bradley preferred).
Proficiency with CMMS for work order management and documentation.

Job Responsibilities:
Technical Tasks:
Maintaining the health of our global fleet of robots through daily maintenance and repair tasks. Which can include but is not limited to - diagnosing unforeseen problems, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment (tires, electronics, motors).
Carrying out preventive maintenance activities and upgrades on robots and infrastructure. Monitoring and servicing our internal systems, running tests and completing reports, and completing updates or improvements to existing systems as appropriate.
Perform root cause analysis to identify the causes of faults or problems and systematically develop a solution to prevent/solve underlying issues.
Operational Tasks:
Accurately document all tasks/partner or internal messaging related to service concerns or robot-related issues using appropriate applications/tools.
Maintain a clean and organized hub by performing accurate spare parts inventory audits twice a week and ensuring all tools are accounted for and returned to their proper location after use.
Work with our engineering team to identify any potential improvements regarding robot health and design.
Assist our Operational Team and vendors/merchants by providing in-person assistance through performing weekly Merchant Preflights to understand any service-related issues, provide operational and troubleshooting assistance related to Starship-provided devices, and act as a Starship brand representative while interacting with clients.
Occasionally support our Operational Service team by assisting with Robot field rescues or operational services tasks when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
A passion for robots and innovative technologies.
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or another related STEM field.
Previous experience in Technical Support and with any service desk application is beneficial, but not required.
Good knowledge regarding mechanics, electronics, and IT.
Excellent client-facing skills.
Self-starter; takes initiative, can work without supervision and begin projects independently.
Experience & Education Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge:
Associates degree in electrical engineering, automation, or related field preferred.
2-3 years' experience in the industrial field.
PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.)
Ability to program HMI and SCADA systems.
Experience with electrical panel design and installation.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Advanced troubleshooting skills in harsh environments while under time constraints.
Required Skills:
Advanced industrial electronic component knowledge.
Electrical distribution device functionality and implementation.
Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Three-Phase motor control Wye/Delta 9 and 12-wire configurations.
VFD setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
Allen Bradley MicroLogix, Compact Logix, and ControlLogix.
Siemens S7 CPUs.
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, etc)
Temperature control setup and PID tuning.
Functionality and operation of digital (Weigh-tronix) and hydraulic scales.
