Position Requirements 5 years or more of machine design experience REQUIRED. BS in Mechanical Engineering required. MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Knowledge of commercial fabrication techniques, machining practices, inspection processes, fastening systems, machine dynamics, system controls, surface finishes, machine safety, and internal/external support systems. Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools (eg Creo Simulate) to conduct stress analyses. Deep understanding of interactions between mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines in relation to machine design. Able to work independently and with a team. Able to write technical equipment specifications for equipment purchases and write scopes of work for engineering, design, and installation of equipment. Ability to implement machine safety systems (field input devices and safety controllers / relays) as defined by machine risk assessments. Position may require up to 50% travel (US based and International). Advanced usage of MS Office 365 products, CAD software, and various vendor software.
