Develops credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment. * Supports the goals of the company, performs take-offs and bids the full spectrum of the market with the full spectrum of B&I Contractors' services and equipment offerings. * With consulting engineers, drives specifications of the full spectrum of projects towards products and brands offered by B&I Contractors. * With assigned owner accounts, the sales engineer should actively drive a preference for B&I Contractors' all-inclusive services, expansive product offerings, wealth of experience, and knowledge of the market. * Keeps management informed of progress toward achieving goals and account statuses. Calls for assistance from manager to keep the sales process moving as needed. * Demonstrates technical knowledge by writing the specification or matching the proposal to the building specifications to provide value to the customer and favorably position B&I Contractors to competitively bid and win the project. * Under direction from the business development manager, qualifies and assesses potential customers, accounts, and market segments. Teams with colleagues on individual projects based on account assignments, and refers leads to other departments as the opportunity arises. * Develops relationships with internal support and administrative staff to ensure customer satisfaction and effectively and efficiently address issues. * Manages customer purchases orders in relation to original proposals/estimates and forwards documentation to the appropriate individual for processing. * Participates in professional organizations and attends industry trade shows to build relationships and increase knowledge of market offerings. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Four year Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. * Excellent working knowledge of NEC Standards, Florida Building Code (Mechanical & Energy). * EIT will be required within one year of employment. * Previous construction and/or engineering office related experience is not required, but preferred. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel. * Experience working with Trimble Accubid Anywhere electrical estimating software. * CAD experience with Revit is preferred. * Possess Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills. * Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills. * Prior related internships and/or summer experience are desired. * This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
