Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The Manufacturing Engineer primary focus of this position is identifying and implementing process improvements and cost reductions using accepted industrial engineering and lean manufacturing methodologies. This position will also support various projects related to Stamping, Welding, Laser cutting and Press Break and new and redesigned product launches.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root-causes of equipment failures and develop hands-on maintenance skills
Experience in Stamping, Welding, Laser cutting and Press Break
Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products and may develop corrective and preventive action plans
Develop new manufacturing processes, including layouts, PFD, PFMEA, CP, work instructions and training materials.
Design special assembly tools, fixtures and equipment to be used for the assembly processes
Develop detail drawings with tolerances and proper material call out for assembling tools, fixtures and equipment.
Designing new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones.
Install equipment, fixtures, specialty assembly tools, product lift assists and storage devices.
Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
Analyzes and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Meet with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications and design changes and responds to customer requests.
Provides information for management decisions from a technical and technical cost perspective.
Meet with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Plan utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations.
Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow diagrams, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
Troubleshoot daily manufacturing issues.
Here is some of what you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering
3+ years of relevant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Computer skills include, but are not limited to: MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project); AutoCAD, 3D CAD software, SolidWorks', Draft Sight
Lean manufacturing methodologies and principles is desired.
5+ years with project management skills are preferred.
Formal training and experience implementing lean strategies to improve process flow and reduce cost is preferred.
Read and interpret drawing requirements and specifications is required.
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills are required.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
Prefer manufacturing/assembly automation experience.

General Summary:

Position Summary:
As a Project Engineer at GEA, you will be instrumental in managing and executing projects from initial purchase order review through successful startup. Key Responsibilities
Project Administration:

Issue purchase requisitions and evaluate vendor bids for technical and commercial suitability.
Collaborate with Purchasing to select vendors based on technical competence, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Review and approve vendor submittals and drawing packages submitted to clients and vendors.
Oversee inspection and field erection of equipment, particularly Niro equipment, ensuring quality and compliance.
Prepare and coordinate the assembly of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
Supervise mechanical checkout of equipment and coordinate startup activities, including process and I&C support.
Train plant operators and support personnel to ensure successful operations.
Contribute to team goals by completing tasks assigned by supervisors efficiently.

Position Summary:
