The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities. Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics is looking for a Project Engineer (PE) to work in a hybrid model work environment based out of one of the following locations: Submarine Combat Systems Center of Excellence - Twin Cities, MN Computing and Networks Center of Excellence - Johnstown, PA The role will entail supporting existing programs, proposals, or Internal Research & Development (IRAD) efforts. Qualifications Technical degree (Bachelor of Science) in Engineering or relevant field with at least 5 years of direct experience related to Project Engineering skillsets. The Principal Electrical Engineer will be a key technical resource. This individual will support all phases of new platform development ranging from concept and technology development through commercialization and post-market support. The Principal Electrical Engineer will be responsible for helping the team architect, design, select and evaluate critical system components, prototype, test and release to production electronics for needles and consoles. Strong understanding of APQP principles, including handling ECNs and integrating changes into quality planning.
