KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to design, commission, and continuously improve electro-mechanical assemblies, fixtures, processes, and procedures to efficiently and repeatably produce high quality HVHP products Works closely with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations Support day-to-day manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production issues Coordinate and execute audits of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and assembly procedures to capture tribal knowledge and ensure all necessary materials are repeatably prepared for production Validate production processes and verify execution of those processes on the production line Assist in the routine maintenance of test equipment and other key manufacturing equipment Fabricate and/or modify existing prototype components and fixtures for current production and New Product Introduction/Development (NPI/NPD) in collaboration with the Design Engineering team Identify and implement manufacturing process improvements to improve productivity, efficiency, workmanship, and overall quality of the product Utilize and enhance data systems to monitor and improve first pass yield using structured problem solving to identify root cause of failures and consistent process complications Responsible to lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and Kaizen events to improve efficiency and reduce cost. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, depending on experience Preferably related to high voltage power electronics or other complex electromechanical systems Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or 5-7 years of related work experience is preferred Experience with Lean / Six Sigma and all associated methodologies Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to meet strict customer-based deadlines Proficient in using common desktop applications such as Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute requirements delivered in in various formats Experience with IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001 and other power electronic manufacturing standards is a plus Additional Information XP Power provides a safe and healthy working environment that is stimulating and collaborative, where employees are empowered to make a real difference.
