What You Will Do:
* Complete an independent project(s) under primary trainer's direction to yield calculated ROI
* Complete safety training & technical lessons that serve as an introduction to water treatment applications
* Observe and participate in service as it is provided to customers to assure accurate chemical application, process optimization and documentation
* Complete introductory training of the consultative sales approach
* Visit multiple customer sites across the region (40-100% of training time spent in field) to learn best practices and types of unit applications and treatment approaches
* Build key relationships and interaction with departments and personnel that will be critical to success in the field
* Work within various regional sales districts and customer locations to build specific technical knowledge and gain sales experience while helping customers achieve their sustainability goals.
* Provide routine service support to Sales Representative. May be subject to testing includes Boilers, Cooling towers, Closed loops, R.O. and filtration.

All Levels:
Verify bucket test, review all pre-job QA/QC lab testing and ensure all required chemicals and proppant are delivered to location prior to starting the job. Collect oil, water, or chemical samples as needed.
Verify, review and confirm all proposals and completions procedures prior to starting the job.
Provide engineering support for complex jobs (pilot tests, breaker tests, viscosity & X-link checks), perform all pre/during-job required QA/QC testing and discuss results with internal engineering team and on-site customer representative. Document results in OIF.
Present job design, proposals, specifications, pre-job lab test results and procedures to customers on job site.
Setup MDT stream-out and data acquisition software in data van to record and transmit each stage's treatment parameters to the Performance Center prior to starting a stage.
Confirm that all the chemicals needed for the job are on site and that the fleet has the BOLs for each chemical and with proper SDS.
Input sand and chemical volumes into the OIF. Manage chemical variance during job and coordinate chemical transfers between pad moves with supply chain and vendors.

Coordinate with district supply chain and vendors to verify all orders are delivered in a timely manner throughout the job.

We are looking for a Packaging Engineer within our Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing Technology (MT) team.
The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for developing and driving finished product packaging improvement initiatives across all product lines within the Roquette Health & Pharma Solutions (HPS) business unit. The role will drive development and implementation of packaging GMP standards, debottlenecking and packaging capacity addition project, safety and automation upgrades, cost optimization and site-specific packaging line CAPEX investment projects.
This position is located in the USA at one of our larger HPS production facilities like Midland, Michigan or possibly Newark, Delaware.
Compensation:
The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $120,000 - $163,000. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
What You'll Do:
Develop, justify and drive implementation of the Midland Methocel facility Next Generation packaging upgrade project to meet customer and business needs.
Develop the minimum expected GMP standards guideline for packaging unit operations within the HPS business working with business quality, regulatory, operations and MT key stakeholders.
Complete gap assessments against the developed GMP standards guideline for all sites and develop a gap closure plan with estimated timeline, people and financial resource requirements.
Working with equipment suppliers, site operations and MT develop packaging technology documentation as a reference for technology and equipment use in network upgrade projects.
Execute early Front-End Loading (FEL) on packaging CapEx projects to include business case & scope development. Support detailed design, lead commissioning & start-up activities, RTO as appropriate.
Lead the analysis of the HPS packaging product customer offering to include pack type vs. customer need, packaging cost and overall spend and develop proposals to optimize package type offering to provide required package quality, product stability, standardized presentation and optimized cost.
Support the business and site quality functions on any product/packaging stability trials, studies or improvement initiatives.
Develop knowledge and expertise in packaging technology and systems becoming the Subject Matter Export (SME).
Support site operations and quality in packaging related critical customer complaints.
Benchmark site packaging lines operational performance identifying best in class performance leveraging performance drivers to other network facilities. Drive OEE performance measurement of packaging lines to enable improved overall production line performance and facility capacity debottlenecking and reduced operational cost.
What You'll Need:
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical, Chemical, Food, Industrial, Packaging, etc.)
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical field with packaging responsibility, preferably in pharma, food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
Knowledge of Machine safety standards and ability to lead Machine Safety related risk assessments.
Fluent in English
Competencies:
Deep knowledge of packaging line equipment and systems.
Ability to develop project plans, lead project teams, deal with ambiguity and manage competing priorities.
Self-motivated with ability to take direction and drive improvement within sites and across multiple sites with little direction.
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt training preferred.
Root cause corrective action mindset and desire to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to find non-CapEx, low cost solutions to generate safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
Interest in technology improvements and why & how things work.
Ability to see big picture and think longer term.
Ability to work across multiple functions within a site and the network at multiple levels of the organization.
Ability to drive through barriers and resistance to progress projects and improvement initiatives.
Excellent presentation skills and comfort around senior leadership.
Work Environment
This role spends approximately 75% of the time in an office environment and 25% of the time in the plant environment. This can vary depending on the project or initiative underway at any point in time.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet the demands of the role.
Business Travel:
Travel may be required when working on projects or initiatives at other HPS manufacturing plants or for the global business. This travel could be within the USA, to Brazil, Europe and India.
Travel is not expected to be a major part of the role (e.g. >25%) but may require periods of time (e.g. >1 week) visiting different locations depending on the specific project.
