Including but not limited to infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, power quality analysis, laser interferometry, ball bar, and vibration analysis. · Leads, drives and participates in CI activities--processes, results and cost savings using CI tools and methodology. · Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. Suggests alternative items and engineered solutions to improve reliability. · Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards. · Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards. · May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks. · Studies and investigates technical and systems methods, tools, and innovations that can be implemented in ATS sites to improve maintenance practices and updates documentation. · Prepares input for cost analysis for new equipment, repair/rebuild proposals, cost savings and innovations as required. · Updates records and reviews CMMS history and analyzes data. · Provides technical contents of sales quotations and performs T&M duties as required. · Trains and coaches less proficient technician. Assumes project manager responsibilities as assigned. · Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development. · Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs. · Must be able to use hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate. · May be required to travel. · Six Sigma experience desired. Develop or assist with development of various test environments. Work closely with the Test Engineers during project development, assisting as needed with documentation and debug efforts. Work closely with Opex board repair technicians to assist with troubleshooting difficult faults while helping to increase their overall knowledge. Support Electrical Assembly in creation and maintenance of cable/harness tests. Assist Production with challenging system-level problems. Skilled in troubleshooting and critical thinking. This employee will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and modifying electronic equipment, parts, components, and systems. Responsibilities Evaluate and test battery components and products. Support Engineering in prototype development, board level and functional testing as needed, Supporting requests within the Engineering team to make board patches and modifications, outside of standard soldering standards for prototypes. Inspection of circuit boards to ensure quality and reliability of workmanship. Management of components inventory for board assembly. Set up and selection of tools suitable to perform the work. Testing of boards or components according to written test procedures. Support of procedure reviews with Engineering to improve/refine/develop testing and assembly processes. Use of standard electronics equipment, such as DMMs, power supply, oscilloscopes, Modbus, and inspection tools. Written and spoken communication with the team around work status and inventory needs. Ability to read a Bill of Material parts list to identify locations of components to solder. Knowledge of electronics components, such as directions and orientations to install components. Experience with managing components during assembly work and supporting re-orders as needed to maintain supplies. Capability to document work done and keep records for Quality Assurance. Familiarity with ESD and soldering safety requirements. Competency in reading and analyzing electrical diagrams and circuit schematics. Support of electrical/circuit testing and technical troubleshooting required. Experience with design and development support, like constructing and troubleshooting prototypes and first-piece builds. Ability to aid engineering with design, review, and proofreading activities around new procedure development. Basic Familiarity with microcontroller programming.
