Shall restrain items to prevent hog and sag deformation prior to measurement. Provide Tolerance Measurement Study upon completion. The Electronics Technician will play a critical role in ensuring timely, efficient communications and IT support to hundreds of users in a high-security environment. You will directly contribute to the operational readiness and effectiveness of federal law enforcement operations. The selected candidate will strengthen their expertise in telecommunications and IT service management, federal contract execution, and customer engagement. Typical Day: The candidate will provide telecommunications and IT support for expeditionary mission and exercise support the FBI's Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG). A typical day is spent at the ERF facility in Quantico, VA, conducting maintenance on unit vehicle and communications equipment, providing system updates on communications equipment, researching new technologies, and conducting and receiving training on new equipment. Employees are on-call to mobilize and deploy on short notice in response to unit deployment. Required Qualifications: Education: High School + 7 yrs experience, Associates + 5 yrs experience, Bachelor's +3 yrs experience; CompTIA SEC + certification can substitute for education requirements Five (5) years documented experience in telecommunications, communication systems technician support, including but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, computer science systems Shall be able to carry communications equipment up to 70 lbs Shall be able to climb on or under small or large vehicles Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI access Ability to pass a polygraph and drug screening exam when directed once employed Ability to deploy to locations away from Quantico, Virginia both inside the United States or internationally on short notice and for possible extended periods of time Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of telecommunications management; Ability to develop and implement mission-specific communication plans Have a working knowledge and demonstrate experience with the operational procedures used for a Tactical Operation Center (TOC) or equivalent operational center Operational knowledge of cryptographic encryption devices Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and understanding to deploy, establish, operate, and maintain tactical radio, mobile cellular, internet, and video teleconferencing systems Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning on vehicles and facilities Possess a US Passport Possess a Commercial Driver's License, Class A and or B Prior military experience in US military tactical communications ( Army 25 series, USMC 253 series, Navy Information Systems Technician, Air Force 2E series) Physical Job Requirements: Shall be able to carry communications equipment up to 70 lbs Shall be able to climb on or under small or large vehicles Position Type Shift Information: 40 hours per week during normal business periods at Quantico, Virginia Potential extended 8-12 hour day/night shifts, to include weekends, when deployed in support of mission, training, or exercise support Normal work hours are Monday-Friday, 8 hrs per day. Employees will rotate on and off of a 24/7 “on-call” status to support contingency requirements. When deployed, the employee may be required to support 24/7 operations in the form of day/night shifts up to 12 hrs for extended periods of time, to include weekends Overtime may be authorized by the Contracting Officer on a case by case basis.     Full Visibility is seeking an Electronic Technician to work in Quantico, VA. Candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance. The Electronic Technician must have experience with weekly assigned quality assurance and functional testing of state\-of\-the\-art GPS and tracking devices, systems, and peripherals. The successful candidate will perform daily validation tests on software and\/or hardware (including firmware) upgrades received from third party vendors on cell\-site simulators, they will also work with vendors of equipment, to maintain knowledge of and obtain new software\/hardware (including firmware) releases or fixes. The Electronic Technician will perform functional testing on systems that are returned from vendors, and coordinate their repair with the vendors. The successful candidate will assemble tracking devices and custom circuitry, and ensure there is a sufficient supply for emergencies; and will interface with the Geospatial Information Systems Program (GISP) in order to maintain the Access Control List for tracking devices; as well as provide status reports, cross\-training, and documentation support. This position requires removing, repairing, modifying, servicing, and installing various types of electronic components, including but not limited to electronic transmitting, receiving and GPS equipment. The Electronic Technician will assemble, solder, connect, and inter\-wire electronic components; perform maintenance, alignment, configuration, and testing of equipment; follow engineering drawings, schematics, safety procedures, standards, and technical manuals to accomplish assigned tasks.
