This position is great for an engineering technician who loves the craft beverage industry and who is excellent at drafting in 3D. You'll help draft 3D models for the design and engineering of our projects and product offerings, which include all production equipment used in craft beverage production plants, such as milling equipment, brewhouses, cellar tanks, heating sources (low\-pressure steam boilers, forced\-air burners, and electric heaters), glycol chillers, and packaging equipment. Occasionally, you might need to oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Draft P&IDs, plant layout drawings, product design drawings, product manuals, and fabrication drawings in 2D and 3D CAD, laying out, and specifying technical devices, parts, and equipment, primarily using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Work with brewers and the engineering team to provide equipment recommendations and to provide advice on the use of products.
Occasionally travel to job sites for installation and repair.
Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements.
Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
Help develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION PURPOSE

TEST OPERATIONS ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN I/II
Based out of Rocket Lab's Test Facility at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi, the Test Operations Electrical Technician is responsible for helping build and operate critical test facilities to support the Archimedes rocket engine and the Neutron launch vehicle. You will become skilled in Test Operations roles and be expected to work in collaboration with a team of other technicians and engineers in support of the overall test facility design, build, activation and engine test efforts.
Please note: We are currently hiring for the following shifts: B Shift (Monday - Thursday, 3PM to 1:30AM) and C Shift (Thursday - Sunday, 5AM to 3:30PM). This position can be hired at the Technician I or Technician II levels.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, systems, machinery and control panels including cable trays, panel building, and pipe bending.
Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and techniques to minimize downtime and ensure operation efficiency.
Ensure all electrical systems comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.

The Controls Technologist (CT) II is a technical expert who supports specific project delivery or technology development efforts. Education Qualifications:

POSITION PURPOSE
The Controls Service Technician role primarily involves starting up, trouble shooting and repairing complex controls on HVAC equipment consisting of primarily, but not limited to, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, dedicated outside air units, hot water boilers, computer room units, water source heat pumps, VAVs, packaged rooftops and split DX units. A service technician is also expected to meet with end-users monthly as part of service contracts to maintain their system and assist with their needs. This position in based out of Harahan and requires out of state travel, up to 5% of the time.
Controls Service Technician Job Skills:
Familiarity with instruments and the ability to acquire information such as temperature, humidity, static pressure, voltage, amperage, air flow, etc.
Understanding of control systems including wiring, thermostats, and end devices.
Perform troubleshooting steps of both IP and Serial Communication Protocols
Effectively communicates verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers.
Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
Effectively present training material to owners and contractors in a classroom environment.
Documents service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job, maintenance checklist and daily time sheets.
Maintains rapport with customers by addressing complaints and identifying solutions.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with established policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Above average computer skills. Ability to learn and use proprietary software needed to start-up, configure or trouble shoot HVAC equipment.
Independently manages daily business needs by identifying parts to order for repairs and determines the urgency of the requirement.
Keeps current on products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of HVAC systems and components.
Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent from a Technical / Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and two (2) years related experience; or five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e., Smartphone, iPad).
Valid Driver's License with no major traffic violations for the previous 5 years.

Function: Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. Other Compensation
Employees who elect to waive health insurance coverage may elect to receive an opt-out of $4.57 per hour for up to 40 hours per week. Proof of alternate coverage is required.
