MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will focus on one area, and we plan to cross-train in the future so that you may work in any area. We have many departments and would love to interview you, to see where you would best fit!
In the coating area, you may work as:
A Clipper, clipping and securing lenses into baskets to begin the coating process.
A Machine Operator, preparing and operating the coating machine to coat the lenses properly. This will include:
Loading and unloading sectors with lenses.
Finishing-
A Beveler, utilizing the bevel wheel to remove the sharp edges of the lens.
A Mounter, inserting edged lenses to ensure proper fit and alignment, and inserting lenses into the frame while ensuring proper fit.
An Edger Operator, using variety of edging machines to cut lenses down to proper size and shape to fit the appropriate frame.
A Finish Layout preparer, readying uncut lenses for the edging process by outlining the center/alignment markings and affixing the chuck/block.
A Tinter, accurately tinting all lenses.
An inspector, checking lenses and frames to ensure quality standards are met
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be a good fit for the Production Associate opportunity, you will have:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
High mechanical aptitude.
1+ years of related work experience, such as in manufacturing; experience in lab settings is preferred but not required.
The ability to meet measurable standards in a dynamic production environment. Depth perception and manual dexterity.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational abilities.
Attention to detail
Pay Details: $17.25 per hour

Position Description:
Perform Load, Assemble, Pack (LAP) processes of energetics and/or munition systems in a team or individual environment.

Work performed in either a non-typical low volume development environment with medium to high complexity components or a medium volume production environment.
Work with Engineers to help develop mechanical designs during early-stage development programs and work to continuously improve legacy programs.
Follow Detailed Operating Procedures and collect/record data as necessary.
Ability to learn and operate many different types of equipment.
Perform in-process quality checks with various hand tools and gauges.
Ability to work collaboratively with Engineers, Production Control, Quality and Test Personnel in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team or projects.

What Will You Do?
Under the direction of the Engineering Lab Supervisor, the Engineering Lab Technician will be assisting with basic electrical and mechanical functions on servicing refrigeration systems, preparing lab materials, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized space with limited supervision.
Essential Responsibilities:
Capable of setup, start up and operation of refrigeration systems and lab test equipment by conducting the following functions: Pipefitting - brazing (MIG welding a plus)
Mechanical/electrical assembly
Leak checking
Evacuation
Charging
System modifications/servicing
Troubleshoot and correct a variety of system faults as it pertains to refrigeration systems and test equipment. Systems could include:
Mechanical systems
Including but not limited to piping, oil, compressors and various valves
Electrical systems
AC/DC up to 600VAC
Low voltage controls
Control systems
Variety of controls to include E2, MT, RDM, PLC, KE2
Facility test equipment
Provide continuous improvement in lab activities and procedures

Accurately complete service reports, maintenance logs, and other required documentation

Requirements for Effective Performance:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; HVAC-R degree preferred
3 - 5 years of refrigeration experience using general refrigeration competencies, including but not limited to, systems design, installation, troubleshooting, and repair. CO2 experience is ideal.
Holds Universal EPA credential, or ability to earn within 12 months of hiring
Prior manufacturing experience preferred
Skills/Abilities/Specifications:

What You'll Do

Assists and mentor's students in the Youth Skills Training Program.
Requirements
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Working toward a bachelor's degree in engineering or related Science and Technical degrees (entering junior or senior year preferred).
In good academic standing (2.50+ GPA).
Drafting & CAD (CREO or SolidWorks) modeling experience preferred.
Experience with g-code programming a plus.
Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge of inspection equipment (metrology) a plus.
