Prepare, test equipment, and stock your industrial unit with ALL supplies and PPE youll need for the day.
Check in and review your daily agenda, task goals, and project Safety Plan with your Project Supervisor and / or Project Manager.
Safely mobilize to job site, set up a tidy work zone and don proper PPE to advance with project assignment.
Work with industrial power washers (4,000 - 40,000 psi) and supported vacuum equipment (Vac Trucks, Hydro Vacs, Porta-Vacs, Pumps, etc.) to clean pits, sumps, tanks/tankers and trailers.
Sweep, clean, and/or shovel materials into appropriate waste packaging.
Operate a forklift, aerial lift, skid steer, loader or other machinery, as needed.
Ensure the work area is safe at all times and that you are always looking out for the safety of your team.
Once complete, clean the work zone and leave it in better condition than when the team arrived. Demobilize back to the company shop.
Rehabilitate your industrial unit by re-stocking supplies, PPE, and small equipment and tools. Sweeping and washing your unit, including your truck, in preparation for the following days tasks. Once inspected by Project Supervisor / Project Manager, you will clock-out and depart for the day.

Major Oak Power Station is a 305-megawatt lignite-fired facility located in Robertson County near Bremond, Texas-approximately 150 miles south of Dallas and 160 miles northwest of Houston. The plant employs circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) combustion technology to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions, including nitrogen oxides (NOx). To further control pollutants, crushed limestone is introduced into the combustion process, significantly lowering sulfur dioxide (SOâ) emissions and supporting more environmentally responsible power generation.
Opportunity Summary
As a C&E Technician, you will provide strategic oversight and planning for plant water treatment, chemistry programs, and environmental compliance, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory adherence. You will coordinate and perform analysis, sampling, and monitoring of plant and environmental chemistry, lead efforts to optimize chemical usage and corrosion control, and support compliance with all permits and regulatory obligations. Additionally, you will assist with reporting, inspections, inventory management, and general operational support to maintain safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible plant operations.
Your scope of responsibility as C&E Technician will include the following primary functions:
Partners with Operations to provide strategic oversight of plant water treatment, water/steam purity control, and chemistry-related projects for the plant.
Develops plant chemistry and environmental compliance procedures, instructions, and guidelines.
Provides leadership, coordination, and planning for functional areas supporting environmental compliance obligations to ensure all regulatory requirements are achieved.
Delivers operational recommendations and suggests changes, including dosage rates and supplementary chemicals, to optimize system operation.
Coordinates and performs analysis, sampling, and monitoring of environmental, boiler water/steam, feedwater, cooling water, and demineralizer makeup water chemistry, including specialized cooling water system sampling, daily log-sheet reviews, inspections, and interaction with Operations and chemical suppliers to provide guidance on chemical programs and dosage adjustments based on trending and computer tracking data.
Leads efforts to monitor chemical consumption and corrosion rates throughout the cooling tower system, reducing usage wherever possible and assessing the effects of corrosion on system performance, including monthly reviews of chemical usage (lb/gal and $/gal).
Maintains acceptable chemistry quality through laboratory standards, instrument calibrations, and related procedures; tests and replaces silica, sodium, analyzer reagents, and standards as needed, performs calibration checks of all analyzers, and documents results.
Investigates environmental non-compliance incidents.
Reviews Daily Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEMS) reports and documents associated activities.
Monitors permit compliance and regulatory obligations, observing equipment, coordinating with plant personnel, assisting with TPDES, DPCC/DCR, and Right-to-Know compliance, and maintaining current knowledge of all permits and regulations.
Maintains VEEC Method 9 Certification.
Conducts annual sampling as needed.
Supports the team in completing daily, weekly, and monthly Environmental Inspection Reports, observing operations, providing feedback to improve site environmental awareness, and coordinating annual outage inspections of boiler drums and condenser water boxes.
Manages inventory and purchasing of bulk chemicals, laboratory reagents, and supplies.
Performs housekeeping and maintenance support duties as required.

Working Relationships

The C&E Technician works in cooperation with the operating utility on matters related to the daily operation of the plant and maintains a close working relationship with NAES corporate Environmental Support Services groups, as well as Client corporate contacts.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work is performed in a coal-fired power plant environment and includes standing for extended periods of time, climbing stairs and ladders, and working from elevated platforms and walkways at varying heights. Regular lifting of materials and equipment up to 50 pounds is required.
Duties may involve entering confined spaces, crawling through narrow areas, and handling coal, ash, and other materials associated with plant operations. Personnel may be exposed to coal dust, fly ash, hazardous chemicals, high noise levels, extreme heat near boilers and other equipment, and fluctuating outdoor weather conditions.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and may include hard hats, safety glasses, face shields, air-purifying or supplied-air respirators, hearing protection, flame-resistant clothing (FRC), chemical-resistant suits, hot gloves, high-voltage protective gear, and fall protection equipment. Respirator fit testing may be required based on job responsibilities. Smoking is strictly prohibited in and around the facility.
Fitness for Duty
All personnel will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program, which includes a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and post-employment random drug screening.
Work Schedule
The C&E Technician works a four-day, ten-hour shift schedule, ensuring consistent plant operation and support during regular business hours. This position will also occasionally necessitate extended working hours and flexible shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays, in response to schedules, workload demands, and plant conditions. Periodic callouts or “On call” status may also be required.
Compensation
This position offers a base pay rate ranging from $30 to $55 per hour, along with an annual performance bonus.
Technical Competencies and Qualifications
We are seeking a C&E Technician with a background in chemistry, water treatment systems, and environmental compliance, preferably with progressive experience in industrial or power generation environments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for regulatory standards, environmental reporting, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

This is an on-site position responsible for providing superior customer service and quality technical support for internal employees and external collaborative business partners. The ITFE will work as a part of a team to support employees located at a large construction jobsite in the Burlington, TX area.
Responsibilities
Interacts in-person, via telephone, email, IM, and web interface to assist users.
Analyzes, prioritizes, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues, including employee laptops and mobility devices in a timely fashion in accordance with SLAs and OLAs.
Installs and maintains software/equipment/networks at the jobsite.
Responsible for creation, tracking, and resolving incidents and tasks in SolarWinds/Samanage.
Records, tracks, and audits equipment using the established asset management system (Samanage) and processes, including asset recovery at the jobsite.
Responsible for maintaining company security through established tools.
Responsible for implementing rollouts for company technology that may impact the jobsite.
Follows ITIL processes for incident and problem management.
Provides IT training during onboarding and provisions assets following established best practices.
