Both verbal and written communication skills are key. * Physical Strength: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally handle heavier items when necessary. * Equipment Knowledge: Know how to operate cleaning and floor care equipment safely and effectively. * Training Readiness: Be ready to complete a competency assessment after undergoing training and mentoring within 30-60 days of hire. * Attention to Detail: Be able to follow both written and verbal instructions and pay attention to all the small details that make a big difference in cleanliness and safety. Preferred: * Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred. * Healthcare Experience: Experience working in a healthcare environment is a plus! * Experience in Environmental Services: 6 months of experience in environmental service duties within an institution would be an advantage.
