The Operator - Heavy Equipment is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station for the purpose of transferring, spreading, covering, loading and/or compacting waste or soil in an efficient and safe manner. Operate medium to large-sized equipment, including backhoe, loader, bulldozer, and track hoe, to install or repair underground utilities and drive/load a dump truck. Operate haul rig with a trailer loaded with wide loads. Act as backup crew leader during his absence and supervise 3-5 crew members.
