Select Chemistry's Warehouse Operator will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, staging deliveries, packaging product in the yard, inspections and general duties in accordance with safety policies, procedures and governmental regulations. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to Follow all safety measures to complete jobs safely at all times. Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization. Load and unload trucks including tanker trucks, flatbeds, and dry van trailers both inbound and outbound. Blend, repackage and store a wide variety of chemical products. Picks materials, components and end products and delivers them to shipping. Performs cycle counts. Routine facility maintenance activities. Control the amount of waste generated and disposes of waste according to environmental requirements. Identify actual and potential non-conformances, rectify in areas of authority and record as required. Perform general housekeeping actions to maintain facility integrity. Demonstrate strong safety leadership skills and be able to lead, coach and promote a safety culture that aligns with company. Minimal travel within assigned territory. A willingness to work overtime and be on call on an occasional basis is required. Special duties as assigned. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Fork lift certification is required. Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, printers and gauges. Experience with handling products in various types of packages including bulk, drums, Porta-Feeds and mini/micro-feed units. Experience performing warehouse duties, which include preventative maintenance duties, inventory and ordering of chemicals, receiving incoming shipments, organizing warehouse for safe and efficient chemical storage, operation of customized chemical manufacturing equipment and the upkeep of warehouse grounds. Understands container labeling and associated product hazards. 3 years of related work experience.
