On time delivery of bids and estimates.

Attempt to provide an in house Mechanical/Electrical "Control Estimate" for every hard bid that SCCI is involved in.
Provide a detailed "Presentation Control Estimate" for every pre-con level estimate.
Bid Day Activities
Assist the lead estimator in the following as it relates to mechanical/electrical work:
Run through the estimate the night before it is due.
Check all spread sheet formulas and insert plug numbers into all trades on the bid summary sheet to obtain a total.
Work with estimators to close out subcontractor spread sheets.
Review all information with the Chief Estimator or VP Precon.
Develop a bid strategy to give SCCI a competitive advantage.
Post Bid Activities
Attend any review meetings with the Chief Estimator or VP Precon.
If called to the table or awarded the bid, review the estimate and discuss strategy with the team for any holes, value management, or potential profit pockets.
Attend weekly staff meetings and report on status of assignments.

Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
Identifies cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.
Thoroughly reads and understands RFPs and RFQs for preparation of proposals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong understanding in mechanical systems
Proficient in Quick Pen Estimating Software
Proficient in Office 365
3-5 Years Experience
Familiarity with plumbing and NFPA codes
Valid Drivers License

The Project Estimator is responsible for performing site inspections, documenting property damage with accurate measurements with solid attention to detail, estimating the cost of reconstruction of the entire project through the use of Xactimate, work with insurance carrier representatives to come to an agreement on scope, and communicating challenges with the Project Manager that will affect the project schedule and budget.

Responsibilities:
Use Xactimate software to estimate residential and commercial water, fire, wind, and mold restoration projects, including the reconstruction
Respond to property damage emergency calls as needed
Submit the final scope and invoicing of restoration services to insurance
Handle all estimating inquiries for the team and demonstrate a high level of problem resolution and technical assistance
Submit estimates in a timely manner, determined by company requirements
Establish and maintain client relationships as well as relationships with insurance adjusters and claim representatives

4+ years' experience as a Project Estimator within the industry
Possess a strong construction background and be able to communicate with Insurance Adjusters/Reps who may have very little construction knowledge
Must have residential reconstruction experience
