Secure a commitment from the client to perform the proposed work based on the original estimate and the contract proposal. Finalize contract to arrive at mutually acceptable terms and conditions by which the work will be performed and paid for. Maintain connection with project during construction to ensure that the work is performed in accordance with the contract terms and conditions. Collaborate with Project Management and Operations to ensure negotiated estimate, scope of work, terms/conditions/exclusions and clarifications to contract are upheld. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of subsequent changes to the work including extra work and change orders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology or Engineering preferred. 10 to 15 years of public and private estimating experience in the heavy civil/road construction field. Mid Atlantic, multi state estimating experience preferred Must have solid experience with Estimating software (prefer Heavybid) and blueprint reading. Proven track record of establishing profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations. 1 to 3 years' experience training/supervising Assistant Estimators/Take-off functions.

The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Job Description Duties & Responsibilities: * Assist with workflow of designated sign off area and alert management/lot operations when lot is full. * Review vehicles after condition report (and possibly, a test drive) are completed. Check for accuracy and update/add/delete damage lines when inaccurate. * Suggest recon work to estimators, inside/outside coordinators, and clients to improve vehicle values and condition report grades. * Suggest method of selling/announcing vehicles during the approval/audit process. * Verify mechanics have correct test drive notes/information/codes related to repairs needed; if not, inform the test driver/management, * Verify mileage/odometer for every vehicle; communicate with management when changes are made. * Verify body work/paint times for suggested recon work. * Add images to CR/damage lines for additional views of damage if missing or hard to see. * Use Smart Approve technology and tablet * Understand various account certification levels, NAAA guidelines, Arbitration guidelines, and light system; use this knowledge to qualify vehicles appropriately during sign off and suggest recon work to "upgrade" vehicles * Communicate with others via email and phone as needed to verify information, suggestions, pricing, vehicle issues, etc. * Perform responsibilities and any other duties assigned by management independently or with little to no supervision Requirements * High School Diploma/GED and 1or more years of experience in a related field. * Self-sufficient work ethic * Prior experience in a body shop or in the auction industry is highly preferred * Maintains a professional but friendly demeanor. * Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills. * Communicate clearly and effectively. * Pay close attention to detail. * Valid driver's license and safe driving record required. * Ability to drive vehicles with manual (preferred) and automatic transmissions. * Exhibits the ability to remain calm and polite when dealing with frustrated customers and/or technicians. * Ability to work outside 100% of your day; in all weather conditions SMCOX Drug Testing To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
