This position supervises hourly employees in all production process; plans and assigns work; ensures that safety policies and procedures are known and followed by all employees, implements policy, procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. This position is involved in all aspects of front-line operations.

+ Monitors and maintains product quality per customer and product specifications.
+ Performs required clerical functions including: employee payroll, operations data, inventory reports, production reports, safety talk documentation, makes callouts to fill rosters, make emergency repairs, creates work requests, etc.
+ Attends and participates in plant meetings including safety, reliability, daily production/maintenance communication meeting, morning production meeting, etc
+ Ensures a safe work environment for all employees and performs accident investigations as required.
Required Qualifications
+ Education: High School Diploma required; College is preferred.
+ Experience: 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing facility
+ Certifications: Must maintain First-Aid/CPR Certification.
+ Licenses: Must maintain a valid driver's license
+ Knowledge: Must be able to learn and understand all plant processes.
+ Skills: Supervision skills, including developing, mentoring, and when necessary, disciplining hourly employees. Must be able to use electronic and manual systems for organizing and tracking plant activities.
+ Abilities: Must possess a demonstrated ability to lead hourly employees and get results through others. Ability to think ahead, plan over a specific time span, and prepare action plans to achieve results. Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, environmental, plant reliability, productivity, cost efficiency, waste reduction, and employee relations in a unionized environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
