The Field Engineer is responsible for managing large and complex construction work at the project site to ensure operations run safely, smoothly, and effectively. This position has a wide range of job responsibilities, depending on the area of specialization. These duties might include working on road, bridge, building, steel structures, or other large projects. This position is classified as "safety-sensitive."
Essential Functions
* Designs temporary structures used during construction with emphasis on safety considerations
* Inspects installed equipment and technologies. Solves issues that may arise.
* Directs foremen or workers on-site
* Conducts research and accurately reports on project status
* Performs quality control inspections and checks work for compliance with contract documents
* Verifies proper materials are used, and that the installations meet project timelines and requirements
* Affirms safety compliance and enforces proper protocols and PPE on site
* May oversee project budget and communications
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field
* A minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a field engineer or similar role

* Thorough understanding of safety guidelines (OSHA statutes)

**Required Education & Experience:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE
- 2+ years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems with a Bachelor's, or 1+ years experience with a Master's degree

What You'll Do
* Lead and manage major capital projects at any CNG sites.
* Define project scope in collaboration with stakeholders: Sales, Production, Maintenance, Safety, Product Safety, Quality, IT, OT, Training, Sustainability, Logistics, Insurance, HR, CI, etc.
* Define project budget and timeline in collaboration with stakeholders and contractors.

* Manage employees and contractors performing project work, especially regarding timelines and safety.
* Troubleshoot project issues that arise, including interferences, missing or inadequate parts and installations, etc.
* Manage documentation and support stakeholders through lifetime of equipment usage

What You Will Do:
* Lead in delivering our traffic engineering services - specifically focused on advancing new technology within our traffic team
* Business development: pursue new / further develop existing client relationships, focusing on innovative ideas and trends
* Develop action plans to identify potential opportunities and track progress
* Research and implement emerging technologies to offer value added services to your clients
* Incorporate sustainable practices to your clients
* Manage internal and external client relationships
* Actively participate in the preparation of proposals
* Manage traffic projects and traffic elements of larger project and ensure quality of products and conformance to budget
* Prepare and/or review traffic design plans for various projects
* Conduct and/or oversee traffic modeling and analysis for studies
* Prepare memorandums and reports for traffic studies and research
* Present technical reports at conferences and agency meetings
* Supervise the work of other engineers and technicians
* Review work for accuracy and coordinate with others functional groups to ensure quality assurance and quality control for all final products
* Development and evaluation of design alternatives and design plans to maintain traffic during construction
What you will bring:
* Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* 5+ years of experience with traffic engineering and related design packages, preferably serving the municipal market
* PE License or ability to get license within 6 months
* Preferred: PTOE certification
* Ability to work 40 hours a week
* Ability to work in the posted locations
* Work is primarily performed in an office environment with standard office equipment, occasional travel or field visits may be required to support
