Yorktel is currently seeking a Senior Field Engineer who will install, commission, and manage the technical aspects of large scale commercial networked Audio/Visual Presentation and Videoconferencing systems. This position regularly works within a project team of individuals with varying responsibilities, degrees of expertise and influence. This position reports directly to the Director of Yorkforce. The Director of Yorkforce will provide direction and support to the Sr. Field Engineer. The Sr. Field Engineer will help determine best strategy for remediation of any variation to client requirements and/or technical variables which may inhibit successful completion of any project or effort. The Director of Yorkforce will also support the Sr. Field Engineer on career development and escalation issues. Roles & Responsibilities Communicate to stakeholders, any client, site and/or project specific issues, make recommendations to the PMO in regard to such issues and ensure agreed upon resolution of issues. Regularly communicate answers to complex questions and respond to detailed inquiries regarding technical issues and the resolutions thereof. Handles and is expected to protect all internal and external confidential information and must utilize discretion and judgment based on company policies and procedures. Communicate daily technical and site specific information to the project team in a comprehensive, thorough and detailed manner. Daily interaction with clients and job sites to document customer requirements and job site conditions. Provide any and all post installation documentation, including red lined drawings, network information, MAC addresses, etc... back to Project Management. Be capable of working effectively and efficiently with support from other members of the engineering team. Maintain complete and accurate project documentation and records. Communicate effectively with internal staff, client representatives, cooperative trades and subcontractors. Daily oversight of subcontractors and other installation engineers. Be responsible for successfully completing assignments on time and within budget and communicate effectively to the project team if budget and/or timeline is in jeopardy. Conform to company technical standards and practices. Correctly interpret multiple formats of technical specifications; schematic drawings and architectural diagrams. Knowledge of and adherence to Yorktel policies and procedures. Other responsibilities as assigned. Technical Job Responsibilities: Lead the installation, replacement and/or configuration of integrated system components, networked Video Conferencing Codecs, networked A/V Control Systems and networked Audio DSP Devices Test and commission the final installation of entire system prior to Client handover including proper installation, set-up, calibration and operation of DSP-based audiovisual components and networked AV control systems Daily communication with the Project Management Team of project status including immediate communication of any issues which may impact successful, timely completion of project Audio system calibration, including AEC and RF systems Display calibration for color, EDID and others. Perform hands on Client training upon completion of project Ensure Customer Acceptance Form is signed and sent back to Project Management upon Client sign off of job completion Ensure all ‘red lined' engineering drawings are completed and returned upon completion of project. Provide post-installation support in transition to Yorktel tech services departments All other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications: Knowledge of video/audio conferencing service standards. Knowledge of audiovisual, videoconferencing and IT products and applications. Must show professionalism, integrity and teamwork. Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills. Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Proficient in the use of computers and MS Suite (Outlook, Project, Excel and Word) Education & Experience: 5 years of experience in Network, Audiovisual and/or video conferencing system integration. College degree or military technical college graduate or equivalent and related work experience. Polycom/Tandberg/Cisco certified Videoconference Engineer (TCE/CVE/etc) certification desirable Audio DSP (Polycom, ClearOne, BiAmp) certifications desirable AVIXA CTS certification with Advanced CTS-I, CompTia Network or CCNA certifications desirable Proficiency in video/audio/control network infrastructure in support of commissioning and other technical processes. Additional Qualifications: May require occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs). Requires extensive sitting, standing and walking. Domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area. Valid passport; International travel possible. Valid U.S. driver's license . The Technical Drilling Fluids Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager, and under minimal supervision, works independently to provide sales, business development, and technical engineering support and advice to drilling fluids engineers, account/sales managers, customers, and prospective customers, and provide technical expertise regarding all facets of AES's operations. The Technical Drilling Fluids Engineer will also be responsible for providing training, IT support, and mentorship, as needed, to Company engineers and for identifying viable qualified candidates for projects and positions. This position resides in Houston and WILL NOT be rotational or remote. Relocation assistance will be provided. LOCATION: HOUSTON RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate personnel crew changes and studies client and well site needs to ensure that client objectives are met by matching engineers to appropriate projects. Ensure that all drilling fluids engineers have the appropriate testing equipment and interacts with IT to ensure field needs are timely addressed. Provide training and mentorship to drilling fluids engineers regarding documentation of testing and inventory and remains abreast of training and development required to maintain state-of-the art engineering techniques and practices. Ensure that drilling fluid engineers have proper well file and drilling fluid program information. Provide expert assistance to drilling fluids engineers to resolve problems, address concerns, and answer questions, when and as required. Provide technical assistance to account and sales managers to ensure proper drilling fluids engineering practices are implemented and to support existing and prospective business development and sales activities. Participate in various important AES sales and business development activities, including researching, creating, and providing presentations for customers and prospective customers. Research well history and characteristics, reviews customer objectives, and utilizes engineering expertise to compile appropriate and effective project-specific drilling fluids engineering programs. Track, compile, enter, and review field service tickets and consultant time records. Assist Engineering Manager with Drilling Fluids Engineer tracking and invoicing. Identify, recruit, and, if necessary interview qualified drilling fluid engineer candidates. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Petroleum Engineering or Chemistry, or closely related. Requires successful completion of an AES-approved mud school or 5 years of drilling fluids engineering work. Also requires certification in drilling fluids technology.
