What You'll Do
As a Survey Party Chief, you'll take the lead on-site-guiding field crews, ensuring safety, and collecting accurate land survey data that supports successful project delivery. Your work will combine leadership, technical precision, and real-time problem-solving in dynamic outdoor environments.
Ensure survey crew safety through hands-on training, daily Tailgate Safety Meetings, and enforcement of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
Lead and mentor field survey staff, fostering high performance and continuous skill development.
Maintain organized field notes, sketches, and survey control documentation aligned with project standards and regulatory requirements.
Collect, verify, and process survey field data using proper naming conventions to ensure clean transitions to office teams.
Coordinate daily with Project Managers and Land Surveyors to set project goals, track survey progress, and quickly resolve field challenges.
Follow client and company field protocols to guarantee survey data accuracy across a wide range of specifications and project types.

What You'll Do as a Construction Inspection Group Manager
Lead and manage a team of Construction Inspectors within the Transportation Group, supporting highway, roadway, bridge, and infrastructure projects.
Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain inspection staff, building a high-performing team focused on quality, safety, compliance, and client service.
Oversee and coordinate construction inspection activities to ensure contractor compliance with plans, specifications, standards, and contract documents, including DOT requirements.
Review construction inspection reports for work in progress and completed work, including quantity estimates, and pay applications.
Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve technical, schedule, and financial issues, recommending corrective actions to maintain project performance.
Support Resident Engineers with monthly pay estimates, change orders, and contract administration, providing review and assistance as needed.
Partner with Project Managers to develop inspection scopes of work, fee estimates, business plans, and to deliver on project commitments.
Provide input on project pursuit and viability decisions; assist with proposal development and participate in client interviews and presentations.

Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.

Education & Experience
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
Strong academic performance in relevant coursework.
Familiarity with engineering principles, design codes, and standards.

What You'll Do as a Bridge Engineer
Support bridge design engineering, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design.
Develop design plans, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and transportation structures.
Maintain detailed records of bridge design documents, reports, and budgets.
Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations.
Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.
Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables.
Assist with field inspections and prepare detailed bridge inspection reports and analyze foundation design.
Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and attend site visits.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery.

What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Bridge Engineer
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master's preferred
0-5 years of transportation experience, structures/bridge design engineering experience preferred
EIT preferred or ability to obtain it
Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software
Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT) preferred
