Job Description
DOCK OPERATIONS STAFF JOB ANNOUNCEMENT:
Freedom Boat Club of Wilmington provides a hassle-free boating experience to their members, allowing them to enjoy more time on the water and less time worrying about traditional boat ownership responsibilities like cleaning, storage, and maintenance.
Role Description:
This is a part-time or full-time, on-site role located in Surf City, NC. The Dock Operations Staff will be responsible for working with other staff members to clean, maintain, and prepare boats for daily use by members. This role also involves assisting members with boarding and departing boats safely, fueling boats up as needed, and monitoring conditions at the docks for safety hazards.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Greet members in a friendly, upbeat, courteous and professional manner
Drive boats between storage slips and fuel dock
Assist members in boarding / un-boarding boats with emphasis on safety
Check-in and Check-out members using a handheld computer tablet
Perform check of equipment on board (Life vests, Anchor, Dock Lines, etc.)
Check-in members returning with boats and receive fuel payment on handheld tablet
Familiarize yourself with local waters to provide basic chart guidance to members
Fuel boats at marina fuel dock
Clean boats and stage equipment for the next member outings
Deep clean boats as scheduled
Assist members with docking boats
Weekend/Holiday shifts required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 16 years of age
Physical ability to lift / carry up to 50lbs
Physical ability to board and un-board boats dozens of times per day
Physical ability to clean boats regularly using handle mounted brush
Frequent kneeling / stooping to clean interior of boat compartments
Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
Highly effective communication skills and friendly customer service is a must
High attention to detail
Maintain safe and clean work area
Adhere to all safety policies
Maintain a positive attitude toward the dock and the jobs being performed
Must pass a background check and drug screening

2nd Shift Part Time ForkliftOperator I
The 2nd Shift Part Time ForkliftOperator I is responsible for various assignments, duties, and tasks within the Warehouse that may or may not require the use of a PIT Forklift, such as building pallets, inbound unloading, outbound loading, replenishment of the pick floor, or Vertique mezzanine areas, and, or the fulfillment of customer orders. This role will travel throughout the warehouse pick area to retrieve and stack specific products and quantities; per the Pick Ticket assigned while maintaining any determined expectations of safety, accuracy, and, or efficiency. This position performs other tasks assigned by Warehouse Management including, pallet stacking, handling damage restack and, or rework, stacking product, and picking up pallets with a Pallet Jack, when applicable.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Retrieve and place quantities of cases of product onto a pre-determined pallet(s) as instructed by the assigned pick ticket in a manner that is safe and builds a stable pallet of product, also known as Pallet Building, meeting or exceeding warehouse expectations in safety and accuracy
* Unload inbound product, raw materials, and/or deposit Items and transports from the docks to their designated storage areas within the warehouse in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner
* Load outbound product and/or deposit items by transporting from their assigned storage area within the warehouse to the loading docks and placing them on the appropriate trailers in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner

Manage lumber rotation (green and dry) and follow QC guidelines (track/file control charts, audits, etc.
) for drying lumber.

Minimum of one year of experience operating a large forklift.
