What's involved in this role:
We are looking for a Belt Operator in Hull, Iowa.
The Belt Operator-Hull is responsible for the operation of the belts and monitoring of the variables for recipes during production to meet production specifications.
Monitor DMC (De-whey/Matting/Conveying), salting belts and SCM (Stirred Curd Machinery) during operation.
Enter all variables on belts for each recipe during production.
Communicate any variances in recipe set points to Supervisor.
Collect in-process samples as required.
Respond to alarms and deviations for continuous delivery of cheese to packaging area.
Work with Sanitation on prepping of both DMC, salter and SCM, performing CIP for belts in a timely manner.
Effectively troubleshoot and maintain machinery.
Maintain and inspection work area.
Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.

We are looking for a highly driven individual that will prepare products and materials for the galvanizing process by hanging angle on spreader bars, staging tubular products, and preparing small parts for galvanizing.
Essential Functions
* Inspect and ensure the safe use and disposition of production fixtures, chains and hooks
* Hand wire small to medium-sized parts to racks for pickling or galvanizing
* Pull and place chains and ropes around steel bundles for racking
* Move lightweight pieces of steel by hand from different locations in the plant and yard
* Perform paddling functions to enhance the quality level of the various galvanized products using air guns to blow off zinc needles
* Use air or electric powered tools to help prepare or clean up steel for pickling or galvanizing
* Assist in general plant clean up and housekeeping
* Work safely, protecting self and others from accident and injury
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate:
* The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
* The ability to accurately read a tape measure
* The ability to communicate problems or needs to departmental supervision
* The ability to lift up to 50 pounds from ground to shoulder height or higher

Working under the direct supervision of the Manufacturing Manager and the assigned lead person, the Machine Operator is responsible for the cutting, laying out, punching, bending, drilling and stamping of materials as detailed on the shop drawings.
Essential Duties:
* Determines the sequence of operation by reading the shop drawings, specifications (if supplied) and all work orders.
* Cuts, lays out, punches, bends, drills or stamps materials as detailed on the shop drawings with minimal operator defects.
* Changes or replaces tooling and/or consumables on the machines as needed.
* Uses proper setting technique of the machines to avoid damage to the machines.
* Accurately read and understand a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
* Follows assigned work instructions to prepare items to be processed.
* Performs simple maintenance diagnosis of machines.
* Uses overhead cranes & gantries as well as forklifts & combi lifts to move materials.
* Keeps assigned work area clean and organized at all times & assists with keeping other work areas clean & organized.
* Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization and cleanliness in all areas of operation.
* Contributes to team effort be communicating & working well with others.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 1+ years recent experience in a welding environment desired.

* Must have demonstrated ability to read blueprints, tape measure and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
