    Exciting opportunity for someone in the Houston area to support the College Station, TX Water Design Center (WDC)! This role will be based out of our Houston office with some travel to our College Station Water Design Center. You will play an integral part in leading wastewater process direction, design and decision making in our Water Design Center, region, and across the Garver Water footprint. You will take a lead process role ranging from client interaction and project pursuit to conceptual level process work including modeling and master planning, and through final design as it is warranted on projects in our Central region, as well as across our Garver footprint. You will help grow Garver's Process engineering capabilities and resume as we continue to do quality work for our clients. What you'll do: Generally, the responsibilities of this role will entail working hand in hand with our business teams and their clients to understand wastewater treatment challenges and share your expertise. You will be involved in design proposal work, helping establish effective approaches to complex projects. You will work with and mentor other engineers on your team and within the Water Design Centers to continue to propel growth and quality. You'll lead the wastewater process design on assigned projects in coordination with the WDC Process Team leader, including modeling, evaluations, helping the client select alternatives and preparing master plans. In detailed design, you will continue to work with the WDC to ensure continuity of intent and design quality. You will continue to learn and develop your expertise and push Garver forward by attending and presenting at conferences and other opportunities. Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Supporting regional teams with treatment related business development activities Be known as an industry leader in WWTP design and technologies Developing conceptual level designs for wastewater treatment systems Coordinating with process mechanical team for detailed design services for treatment facilities Performing modeling and design calculations, coordinating with other support discipline activities on projects, coordinating with regional Garver offices and regulating agencies, construction cost estimating, and quality assurance and control Lead some projects form an internal Design Phase Manager standpoint on specific projects, coordinating schedules, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring delivery of quality work products which adhere to Garver standardization Regularly collaborate with Water Technology Team and other Garver process experts to develop best practices and areas of focus Participate in client meetings, industry conferences, and serve as a subject matter expert for the Water Business Line In addition, the Senior Wastewater Process Engineer will be responsible for: Assisting in recruiting top talent for the process team Developing scope, schedule, level of effort, and fees for projects Mentoring process and process mechanical team members Drive the detailed design through coordination with other support disciplines Planning, managing, and executing process staff and workload Developing detailed plans and specifications Quality program compliance Ensuring delivery of quality work products that adhere to Garver standardization. Process standards and tools development, procurement, and training Helping prepare Garver Water, the WDCs and your team for the future Perform quality reviews for projects across the Garver footprint Some travel will be required as part of this position. Most travel will be within the Central region, as necessary based on project work. Because this position is not located in College Station, regular travel to the WDC will be expected to maintain continuity with the design team. This is anticipated to be one to two days every couple weeks and may change depending on circumstances. Travel will also be anticipated for business development purposes, including proposal development, interviews, knowledge transfer sessions, and industry related conference attendance. Project specific travel may also be required for site assessments, project workshops, design review meetings, and support during construction. Due to the collaborative nature of coordination for large infrastructure projects, candidates must have the ability to seek out and resolve issues through close interaction with other project team members. About Garver's College Station Water Design Center: The College Station Water Design Center will be a knowledge-based hub that excels in highly technical, multi-discipline water and wastewater designs for clients in Garver's central footprint, as well as across the country as necessary. The College Station WDC will specialize in large, high-volume, custom treatment plant projects with conventional and advanced technologies. A centralized WDC requires constant communication, coordination, and participation with team members. The Right of Way Project Manager will assist the Director of ROW in organizing and execution in the staffing requirements, material management and logistics to complete all types of pipeline projects. Manages direct project costs, project staffing requirements and provides on-site technical support to the client. The position will be required to interface with and develop working relationships with multiple departments that include Pipeline Engineering, GIS, Survey, and Construction Management. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides direct project management (overseeing employees, third party staffing and resources) to execute multiple Right-of Way Projects. Assists in providing requisitions and bids required materials and third party services to execute pipeline projects, meeting customer completion dates per contract. Manages direct job costs to ensure margins are met in accordance with the project proposal. Coordinates with clients and other departments to ensure the execution of pipeline projects. Responsible for coaching, training, development and performance management of staff. Auditing the health of all projects that are being managed by their staff. This includes regular (bi-weekly minimum) project status reviews May interact with clients and assist with the support activities to further develop Audubon. Review legal descriptions, easement documents, deeds and other documents for acquisition of property and easements. Read and interpret maps and property descriptions. Provide assistance in resolving right of way and easement related disputes. May appear as a witness in litigation. Inspect affected property and identify implications of the project on the property and/or structures. Estimate areas of possible or potential damage in advance of construction, and accumulate information as to any damages occurring during construction, gathering data necessary to determine value of damages such as current market values. Develop relocation plans and negotiate with land owners, tenants and attorneys when displacement occurs due to project scope. Provide land owners and tenants displaced by projects advice on approved relocation assistance available in accordance with applicable laws, rules and regulations. Maintain relocation assistance records as required. Note and inform supervisor of violations of easement terms by construction personnel. Identify and provide detail of all required construction permits and permit requirements, and acquire permits as directed. Prepare adequate reports of daily activity and provide additional reporting as necessary to document difficult negotiations for easements, damage settlements and/or permit acquisition. Recommend and initiate condemnation processes where necessary; prepare legal documents for inclusion in condemnation packages submitted to court; confer with legal counsel on such matters to ensure that documents conform to legal requirements may appear as witness during court hearings.
