As part of the Water Design Center, Garver is seeking an Automation Specialist in Oklahoma. You will be responsible for developing PLC and HMI programs in support of various projects for Garver's Automation Team. Diversity in high-volume, custom plant projects will allow this programmer the opportunity to be hands-on and directly involved with clients. General responsibilities will include developing and commissioning PLC and SCADA HMI applications and providing technical support to internal and external customers as required for a variety of water and wastewater projects. Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing PLC programming logic and SCADA HMI graphic screens for automation of water and wastewater treatment control systems. Working closely with other team members, including electrical, I&C, process, and process mechanical team members to coordinate the project requirements. Collaborating on automation control system design, including P&ID drawings, network architecture, and control schematics. Implementing PLC and SCADA HMI applications during system commissioning at the project sites. Working closely with contractors and plant operators during construction and commissioning of automation control systems. Maintain and update documentation for existing automation control systems. Provide timely resolution and troubleshooting of technical issues related to instrumentation and automation control systems. Some travel may be required, as projects may require field work for site assessment of project locations and control system implementation during construction. Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician Thompson Engineering is seeking qualified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians for multiple locations. This position is responsible for the daily oversight of construction materials testing and inspection activities on active construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. Responsibilities will include: Leading and assisting in the design and creation of construction documents on municipal transportation and drainage projects such as major thoroughfares, collectors, residential streets, and trails. Roadway design components including typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage and hydraulic analysis, erosion control plans, pedestrian mobility and safety features, maintenance of traffic plans, and storm water quality plans. Assignments will also involve tasks associated with leading or producing a set of construction documents including design, drafting, quantity computations, specifications, cost estimates, client coordination and meetings, and coordination with subconsultants.
