Duties and Responsibilities:
The ACT/OTP Coordinator is responsible for counseling students in all aspects of center life, e.g. personal and social development, vocational and educational training.
Monitors students' progress, performance, and attendance for off-center trades.
Obtains Training Achievement Records and Progress and Performance Reports from Off-center training sites.
The ACT/OTP Coordinator assesses and evaluates continuously those students assigned to them on both formal and informal levels. Provide assistance to students in continuing their education or entering into additional training; and in connecting with community services necessary for successful transition from school to work.
Assists students in setting short and long-term goals, identifying strengths and career challenges and resolution of personal issues affecting career readiness.
Submits written student reports/evaluations as needed to outside agencies, referrals to Mental Health Consultant, Review Boards, or at the Center Director's request.
Monitors each class on a weekly basis, conferring with instructors, counselors, and administrators as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, including 15 semester hours of Social Sciences or related area. One-year experience in a counseling capacity or related field.
Job Corps experience preferred.
Valid State driver's license in the state of employment with acceptable driving record preferred.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Additional Requirements: Ability to compose descriptive reports and use appropriate techniques to implement program activities. This position will be offered a 10-month position, however, summer work may be available. The Graduate Assistant will be expected to work no more than 20 hours per week in exchange for $15/hour and free tuition (costs for books and fees apply).

Job Duties:
50% - Plan, promote, administer and evaluate all intramural program offerings - (Essential)

JOB TITLE: Graduate Student Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach
DEPARTMENT: Athletic Department
REPORTS TO: Head Men's Volleyball Coach
The purpose of this position is to assist the head coach in the development and growth of the volleyball program at Dordt which will support the mission of the university, as well as bring a knowledge and passion of the game of volleyball to students, with a commitment to excellence and bringing glory to God.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the recruiting process as directed by the head coach.
Assist the head and assistant coach in all aspects of varsity practices and games
Oversee, manage, and direct the JV program.
Help promote, devise, and implement a more extensive summer camp selection.
Work individually and within small groups to ensure players are reaching full potential
Maintain program's social media network.
Break down game film, study opponent, and devise scouting reports as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the head coach or athletic director.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
