The Climber is responsible for climbing, pruning, and removing trees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules Climb, prune, and remove trees according to Foreperson's directives Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; lifts and feeds brush into brush chipper. Work from the ground using hand saws, pole saws, pruners, hand pruners, loppers, and gas-powered chain saws Inspect and ensure proper working condition of all assigned tools and equipment Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area by enforcing safe job practices, keeping work area clean and orderly, and staying in frequent voice communication with co-workers Perform duties for storm work as needed SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Climbers have no direct reports. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred. 1-2 years previous climbing experience is required. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or education equivalent preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of all knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations Must be able to climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle Must be able to administer and implement emergency rescue techniques, including tree rescue and all applicable first aid techniques Must be familiar with electrical hazards and appropriate operating procedure when in proximity to electrical conductors and aerial rescue techniques in the event of an emergency aloft Must be able to work and maneuver at considerable heights under varying and adverse weather conditions Must possess physical strength and agility, good balance, good depth perception and the ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance. The Phlebotomist performs venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks to obtain blood samples for testing purposes. Properly identifies patients and follows procedures for collection of specimens. Ensures that all information from the blood collection of specimens is entered into the laboratory computer system including time drawn, time received, and proper phlebotomy code. Collects chain of custody urine drug screens for pre-employment, post accidents, and just cause cases using proper collection procedures as set forth by NIDA. Picks up samples from nursing units as required. Performs other related functions as assigned by the Phlebotomy Supervisor. Phlebotomy certification required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts pre- and post-trip inspections on all vehicles. Provides written Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) post trip or shift. Ensure all potential safety defects are reported to the Transportation Supervisor. Responsible for ensuring all necessary paperwork for the transfer of inmates/detainees in accordance with LaSalle Corrections Transport, LLC. (LCT, LLC.) and LaSalle Corrections policies, procedures, and contractual agreements. Provide custody safety and security of offenders/detainees. Responsible for the transfer of offenders/detainees from one agency to another. Read, review, and properly apply information found in inmate records which is related to the inmates' health and safety and to the security of the facility. Provide appropriate information to other personnel. Shall obey all applicable traffic laws, drive the posted speed limits, and must wear safety belts. All drivers will drive facility vehicles in a safe and defensive manner according to policy and procedures. Ensure the sanitation of transport vehicles by cleaning after every transfer; sink, toilet, lavatory and adequately maintain a log. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed. Maintain accountability of staff, inmates, and property; adhere to safety practices. Perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
