Working alongside the Benedum House Soundperson, intern will assist with taking rehearsal notes and cues, attending all rehearsals, techs, and performances. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are essential to this position. Candidates should have a working knowledge of QLab. Daytime, evening, and weekend hours required. Specific Responsibilities: • Create the Sound script for each production. • Create the workbook for each production. • Sit in on rehearsals and updating the script/workbook if any changes are made. • Order essential items on Amazon at the Sound Designer's request. • Find and create sound effects for production. • Set up the QLab file for rehearsals and the performances. • Take notes at the designer's request during Designer run(s), Tech, and Opening night. Requirements: • Current college student, or recent grad who has an interest in sound design or technical theater. • Should express a passion for the technical side of theater. • Must have a high level of organizational and communication skills. • Demonstrate excellent organizational, time management and communication (written and oral) skills. • Basic computer literacy is a must, with knowledge of Outlook, Google Drive and Dropbox software preferred. • A working knowledge of QLab is beneficial.
