Requirements:
3+ years of experience in graphic design or a related creative role (internships included).

Comfortable designing across print and digital formats.
Experience creating social and web graphics and assets that can scale across the organization and marketing landscape. Motion or video experience a plus but not required.

Associate Layout Designer
The Associate Layout Designer will support engineers with drawing layouts by utilizing computer-aided drafting software. This role will also be responsible for creating new and modified components and Bill of Materials (BOM) in accordance to the Oshkosh standards.

The Associate Layout Designer works with customers, engineering, and order management teams to help configure and visualize customer proposals with a 2D rendering of the order.

Layout Designer Associate - Drawing Coordinator R42067
The Associate Layout Designer works with customers, engineering, and order management teams to help configure and visualize customer proposals with a 2D rendering of the order.
Your role is one of few within the organization that focuses on the entire apparatus configuration for our Pumper Products. Your name will be on the Approval Drawing(s) that our customers sign to indicate acceptance of design and order content.
You will support order management and engineering teams by designing the initial 2D layout of a fire apparatus based of a specification list created by the customer. This position supports the layout drawing from initial bid and drawing creation through manufacturing, including all necessary revisions. In your role, you will learn about all pumper products from front to end with the support of engineering and order management teams as you work through unique combinations of our over 300,000 options.
YOUR IMPACT
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Use computer-aided drafting (CAD) systems and utilize existing content to create 2D and 3D layouts in new configurations following the Pulse order specifications.
Work with engineering and order management teams to work through specification conflicts and design a layout best suited to meet customer mission profile for their apparatus.
Self-check work to ensure accuracy and retain ownership of the layout drawing through multiple stage-gates

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent*.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Self-starter and problem solver.
Ability to communicate effectively as part of a multi-functional team.
Detail oriented and customer focused.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in drafting or design.
Experience with sales drawings and custom products.
Prioritization and time management skills when multiple demands are presented on a fixed timeline.
Ability to research and extrapolate date from available resources and apply to new designs.

Pay Range:
$44,500.00 - $68,300.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
