Your responsibilities will include: * Oversees construction operations at the Market level to ensure profit, schedule, quality and safety expectations are met. * Directly responsible for project assignment, performance review, terminating and developing of the following direct report positions: Director of Construction, Senior Project Manager and Project Manager II. * Indirectly responsible for recruiting, hiring, developing of the following direct report positions: Director of Construction, Senior Project Manager and Project Manager II * Leads and/or participates in weekly coordination meetings with the Market Leader, Vice President - Construction, and direct reports. * Responsible for approval of Market warranty expenditures, insurance waivers and early payment release waivers up to limits set forth by company policy. * Participates in the establishment of construction policy and procedures at the Construction & Manufacturing Group level. * Assures project team training and adherence to policies relative to subcontracting, owner changes, contract terms and conditions, risk management and construction means and methods. * Makes recommendations and provides support for project staffing and training for Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager I, and Superintendent positions. * Performs detailed review of (and reports issues with) Market's Planning and Development proposed project deliverables including estimates, scopes of work, design documents and contracts. * Provides leadership and direct involvement when potential claim issues arise. * Makes recommendations to the project team for construction techniques, design details, self-perform work, as well as dispute resolution, including subcontractor performance, job site supervision, owner relations and contractual obligations. * Audits and oversees adequacy of subcontractor insurance coverage for all assigned projects including enforcement of policy of enrollment in subcontract default insurance (SDI), bonds, and securing special insurance coverage when needed. * Verifies accuracy of cost reporting. Investigates and directs corrective action in areas of indicated cost overruns. Oversees compliance of payment requisitions, receivables and collections. * Performs necessary project inspections of the Market's projects to ensure company policy and contract compliance.
