    Job Description WHITE MOUNTAINS COMMUNITY COLLEGE LITTLETON ACADEMIC CENTER MASSAGE THERAPY PROGRAM COORDINATOR PART-TIME, $31.07-$36.57/HOUR SCOPE OF WORK: Provides administrative oversight and coordination of the Massage Therapy program at White Mountains Community College (WMCC). This position reports directly to the Health Science and Services Department Chair at WMCC. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assists the Department Chair with faculty recruitment, orientation, assignment, and evaluation of adjunct instructors and teaching accountabilities within the Massage Therapy program. Serves as academic advisor to Massage Therapy students and helps promote student retention. Assists with the development of course schedules and alternative methods of delivery. Develops, implements, and evaluates curricula; maintains program/course documents, and revises as needed in a timely manner. Participates in student recruitment activities such as college open houses and student orientations. Oversees program review, accreditation, and other assessment initiatives as needed for the Massage Therapy program, with consultation from the Department Chair. Works with the program advisory committee and relevant external stakeholders and provides occasional external representation as needed. Oversees the facilitation and monitoring of student internships/practicums. Coordinates the procurement process for materials, equipment, etc. Provides input to the Department Chair regarding budget preparation. Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in massage therapy, health science, allied health, liberal arts, education, or a related field. Experience: Five years of experience working in the field of massage therapy or closely related field. OR Education: Master's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in massage therapy, health science, allied health, liberal arts, education, or a related field. Experience: Four years of experience working in massage therapy or closely related field. License/Certification: Possession of a valid driver's license or access to transportation. Current massage therapy license required. RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of the subject matter as it relates to the course of instruction, teaching methods and materials, and curriculum development, and course/program evaluation. Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, materials, tools and equipment used for instruction within the program area. Knowledge of educational standards and procedures.
