Activities include electronic folder creation, file maintenance, scheduling quality reviews, taking notes during quality reviews, preparing documents for PM review, moving files for archiving, tracking quality activities, project close-out, etc. * Maintain list of all active projects and review activities * Monitor the proper scheduling and completion of QA/QC activities * Coordinate with Office Leadership on training needs related to QMS * Coordinate hard copy destruction process on a regular basis * Participate in Area and Corporate meetings and trainings related to QMS * Assist with Quality Audits as needed * Serve as back-up support to Senior Administrative Assistant who coordinates the execution of contracts * Other tasks as assigned Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree * A minimum of 10 years related experience * Must be team-oriented and able to work with a variety of people in a fast-paced environment * Experience in an Architectural/Engineering firm a plus * Preference given to local candidates Required Qualifications * A minimum of 3 years in similar consulting industry. * Ability to develop an understanding of QMS fundamentals. * Strong verbal and written communication with investigative interview experience. * Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, Adobe PDF and PowerPoint. The PA is in direct responsible charge for Construction and Inspection services on the assigned project(s) upholding the associated contract documents. In addition, certification of the final payment amount to the contractor is required along with tracking and determining acceptability of all construction materials utilized on the project and ensuring proper supporting documentation is on file for all items of payment. Due to the high degree of responsibility required for this position, an increased level of attentiveness, punctuality, dependability, organization, and complex computer skills are required. RESPONSIBILITIES: CLIENT: Initiate, process, and finalize all monthly pay estimates to the contractor inclusive of all pay adjustments. Maintain all backup documentation in an organized fashion to support the amount paid on each monthly estimate including the final estimate. Maintain the official contract time tracking file inclusive of original contract time, additional days granted by contract modifications and any potential liquidated damages. Initiate authoring all contract modification documents inclusive of all required computer database entries required. Take primary responsibility to track original contract funding amounts, amounts paid to date, remaining funds available, overruns, underruns and identify and process additional funding needs. Provide support and assistance in calculating quantities and contract change amounts whether contract price based or based on actual time and materials utilized. Responsible for: Exercising independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project. Responsible for: Familiarity with the Department's Procedures covering the project related duties as stated above and proficient in the computer programs necessary to perform those duties. This position could be in Orlando or Tampa and oversee existing and future infrastructure projects including interchange and intersection reconstructions, widening and reconstruction of collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways. The Arcadis team is expanding and involved in providing solutions to some of the most complex and exciting highway design challenges for the FDOT, Florida Turniplike and select municipalities in Florida. The Environmental team spends time in the field and in front of a computer throughout the year. Field work includes wetland and other surface waters delineations, habitat surveys, wildlife surveys, and noise monitoring that are performed to support impact assessments, impact avoidance, regulatory permitting efforts, and pre- and post-construction compliance. When we are at our computers, we perform desktop surveys, analyze the data collected in the field and use those data to prepare natural resource reports, mitigation and monitoring plans, regulatory permit applications, and other technical papers as needed. The Environmental Intern will support the environmental team in conducting fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting for civil engineering projects. This role provides hands-on experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and sustainability practices within infrastructure development. Key Responsibilities * Assist in environmental site assessments and field investigations, including soil, water, and air sampling. * Support preparation of environmental reports, including Phase I/II ESA, wetland delineations, and habitat assessments. * Collect and organize data for regulatory compliance (e.g., stormwater, erosion control, endangered species). * Help with GIS mapping and spatial analysis for environmental constraints. * Participate in construction site inspections to ensure adherence to environmental regulations. * Research local, state, and federal environmental regulations relevant to civil engineering projects. * Collaborate with engineers and scientists on sustainable design solutions.
