* Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing on plumbing systems and related equipment.
* Study blueprints and building sketches to plan and lay out pipe routing, slope, and placement.
* Cut openings in walls and floors for pipe installation; cut, thread, and join piping using hand and power tools.
* Join pipe by screws, bolts, fittings, solder, and adhesives.
* Fill systems with water or air and read gauges to detect leaks or pressure issues.
* Clear clogged drains with augers, hydrostatic, or electric-powered equipment.
* Inspect, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
* Initiate requisitions for parts, supplies, and materials needed for repair work.
* Maintain accurate daily work orders, service logs, and inspection reports.
* Escort subcontractors, vendors, and visitors when required.
