CAES by Honeywell is seeking a RF Technician to work at our San Jose, CA facility. The RF Technician's responsibilities are focused in the area of microwave circuit alignment and test and subsystems test to meet shipping schedules. The RF Technician will support production activities within a group concentrating on advanced microwave subsystems for applications including missile front ends, radar receivers, wideband tuners and synthesized sources. Duties include RF circuit alignment, circuit card testing and troubleshooting, subsystem product alignment and testing, collecting and documenting test data and providing feedback to manufacturing engineers on production products. What You'll Be Doing * Work in a production environment to perform testing and troubleshooting of microwave subsystems and circuit card assemblies and carefully review data for compliance. * Work in a production environment to perform RF tuning, troubleshooting and testing on multi-function thin film microwave integrated circuits (MICs) and carefully review data for compliance. * Carefully follow production documentation and processes, including keeping detailed records of testing and rework performed. * Actively participate in daily production meetings and regularly interface with manufacturing engineers. Budgeting and Forecasting: * Coordinate the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), long-range strategic plan, and quarterly program's' financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives. * Build and maintain complex financial models for program performance, Estimates at Complete (EACs), pricing, and what-if scenario analysis. * Collaborate with program managers and department heads to develop realistic operational budgets and forecasts. * Provide strategic financial recommendations to senior leadership by conducting in-depth variance analysis on program profitability, revenue, and costs. * Ensure rigorous financial compliance with government regulations, including the FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). * Assist in evaluating potential cost-saving opportunities, pricing strategies, and capital expenditure planning. * Provide financial analysis and insights for ad-hoc requests and special projects to support decision-making. Reporting and Analysis: * Analyze the financial performance of government contracts, identifying cost drivers, profitability, and compliance with contract terms. * Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to program financial health and operational metrics. * Prepare and present executive-level financial reports and presentations for both internal stakeholders and external defense customers. Compliance and Audits: * Ensure all financial planning and reporting activities comply with government contracting regulations, including FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements. * Support government compliance and audit activities by preparing required documentation Minimum: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field. * 2-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the defense or government contracting industry. * Expertise with government contracting types (e.g., FFP, CPFF, T&M) and their financial management requirements. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced functions. * Familiarity with financial systems and ERP software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Oracle). * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information to diverse audiences. Preferred: * Master's degree in a relevant field. * Experience with government cost accounting principles and structures. * Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance * This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. **Responsibilities:** + Support all substrate design and documentation activities including the detailed design of thin film substrates. Process requires an in-depth knowledge of internal thin film design guidelines. + Generate all required substrate documentation for ECO release. + Substrate optimization efforts for improved production yields. + Interface with external substrate vendors as required. + Create, update, and ECO release complex 2D assembly drawings related to microwave subassemblies. + Generate detailed drawings including 2D fabrication drawings, detailed top level assembly drawings and other manufacturing related documentation. + The design of various fixtures and tools to support the assembly and testing of subsystems. + Other mechanical tasks as required including part and drawing updates, BOM and documentation related tasks to support manufacturing operations. + Work with internal machine shop to have prototypes and test fixtures created and/or modified. **Minimum Requirements:** + Associates degree in Mechanical Design or related field such as Industrial Design/Industrial Technology with 4+ years relevant work experience in a similar role. + Strong 2D drafting skills utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD or Draftsight. + Ability to create complex assemblies and layouts in 3D or 2D. + Generation of detailed 2D fabrication drawings utilizing GD&T. + Candidate must have good communication skills to interact with various internal organizations and must be able to coordinate efforts and work closely with a wide variety of groups within the business. + This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws.
