In 2012, Korzen left Viceroy Hotel Group, and today, he’s the CEO and founder of The Kor Group, which still runs the Avalon Beverly Hills as well as the new Proper brand of hotels.
In 2014, InterContinental Hotels Group announced it would purchase Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants for $430 million in cash.
In 2015, Starwood Hotels added Design Hotels as its 11th hotel brand and now that Marriott owns Starwood, it's become one of Marriott's 30 hotel brands.
