This role is a key frontline partner in delivering reliable, responsive technology support to end users across the organization. DUTIES:
Firefighters respond to and suppress a full range of difficulty and complexity of fires. They utilize a variety of specialized tools, equipment, and techniques while actively suppressing wildfires, such as a Pulaski, shovel, ax, and chainsaw to control the spread of wildfire. They perform fire line activities such as line construction, lopping and scattering of fuels using hand tools and holding, patrolling, monitoring, and mop-up operations. This also includes moving dirt, chopping brush, and small trees, etc. to construct fire lines. Duties also include use of backpack water pumps; operation of drip torches; location and suppression of spot fires; laying out fire hose; locating fires with a map and compass; lay out "mop up" water systems; operating and maintaining motor vehicles up to one- and one-half tons and operating two-way radios.
SPECIAL INFORMATION:
Housing is available at this location.
The seasonal positions will remain open and additional screening will occur as needed until positions are filled. Applicants for these positions must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire and have a valid drivers' license and less than 12 conviction points over the most recent 36 months. All persons performing firefighting duties are required to pass a physical fitness test within three weeks of employment. DNRC HAS ADOPTED THE PACK TEST AS THE REQUIRED PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST. Job Summary:
The Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) is a transdisciplinary team member that holds expertise in addiction and recovery interventions for individuals diagnosed with severe and disabling mental illnesses (SDMI). PACT LACs are out in the community, working one-on-one with clients, advocating for the promotion of client healing, self-determination, education, and awareness around one's mental health and co-occurring diagnoses, leading to stabilization and integration.
A day in the life of a PACT LAC includes providing positive role modeling through professionalism, timeliness, use of ethical reflection, the ability to maintain flexibility and a commitment to appropriate and direct communication. Our PACT LACs embrace, develop, and implement recovery-based principles with clients, the PACT team, and other clinical voices. LACs also complete clinical documentation, assessments, evaluations, participate in the creation of treatment plans, check in with clients to monitor baseline, assist with providing medication prompts, facilitate individual and group recovery, and other various tasks that break up the day and energize your work.

Wranglers will greet visitors, check in trail ride guests, give instructions in basic horsemanship, and lead guests through Glacier National Park and Flathead National Forest while creating a safe environment in which guests can learn and make lifelong memories.
Current CPR, Wilderness First Aid, and Food Handlers Safety certifications preferred.
Our season runs from May - September.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
Wranglers work 5-6 days a week, 12-14 hours a day.
Daily tasks include:
Preparing all horses for trail rides (ie. grooming, saddling, etc.)
Leading guests on trail rides during which you will assist guests onto their horses, share interpretive information, converse with guests, and strive to be the highlight of our guests' trip
General office help (assist with check-in, answer the phone, help walk-up guests make a reservation)
General horse chores (scooping manure,throwing hay, cleaning troughs, fix fencing, feed grain, etc.)
Assist with herd health management (identify lameness/injury/illness, provide basic veterinary care as needed)
General operations maintenance (trail work, tack repair, coordinate with maintenance team for repairs,etc.)
Splitting cooking and housekeeping duties with coworkers

Our Rides and Horses
First and foremost, this is a customer service position. Wranglers can expect to be in the saddle leading guests 4-8 hours a day and must be able to provide a safe, enjoyable, educational experience while maintaining an upbeat, professional attitude.
Our rides range from 1-8 hours in length and cater to first-time riders. All of our rides are conducted strictly at the walk. Terrain varies from relatively-flat dirt to steep, rocky switchbacks up a mountain.
Please note that we are a "nose-to-tail" trail ride operation. We do not start young horses or do any arena or ranch work.
Applicants should be able to:
Catch, groom, tack up a horse (all disciplines welcome, we can teach Western tack)
Ride at walk, trot, canter
Confidently ride a variety of horses they are not familiar with yet
Identify signs of illness/lameness/injury
Multi-task while riding
Work through any problems calmly and professionally

Talents, skills, and abilities:
It is preferable that the individual's lived experience of mental health challenges includes experience with psychosis during his or her youth. However, personal experience with psychosis is not required.
Ideally the Peer Specialist is a young adult; however, a Peer Specialist of any age may be considered for the position, if he or she relates well to young people.
As much as possible, the Peer Specialist should understand the community in which the team is based with an awareness of available community resources.
The Peer Specialist should demonstrate good interpersonal communications skills and the ability to empathize with, relate to and effectively work with participants of mental health services.
The individual should have two years of active participation in mental health self-help activities, peer support or peer advocacy programs, or participant run organizations or similar experiences or programs.
They must possess the ability/ willingness to disclose their recovery story (where appropriate) for the purposes of empowerment.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver's License. Must have an acceptable driving record and pass a criminal background check.
