This position reports to the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Operations and Planning Manager. This role is onsite and will be based at our Gemini facility.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects, analyzes, and interprets hardware data to forecast baseline hardware inventory requirements for flight, training, and ground support hardware and implements plans for procurement and/or production
Monitors the hardware production schedule, ensuring all commitments are met while identifying and proactively mitigating risks to ground and flight support schedules
Oversee the EVA training and flight event support schedule to ensure hardware is prepared and available to support all events
Performs hardware supportability analysis for event support utilizing predictive analysis tools for prompt responses to customer support requests
Leads customer forums for review, approval, scheduling, and status reporting of program test event support
Creates, maintains, and submits monthly customer hardware inventory status contract deliverables that include inventory counts, forecasted use, and maintenance interval information
Reviews, interprets, and effectively communicates technical requirements (engineering drawings, procedures, technical requirements, etc.) to develop detailed work authorizing packages to ensure the effective implementation of manufacturing, maintenance, testing, modifications, and repair tasks
Tracks work authorization packages in support of manufacturing, processing, and testing activities to ensure timely delivery and work order closure by maintaining accountability logs, records, and indices as required
Monitors training and flight hardware maintenance requirements and implements plans to perform preventative maintenance tasks and ensures maintenance records are updated accordingly
Performs cross-functional collaboration across the organizations to promptly investigate and resolve matters related to manufacturing and/or processing issues to mitigate schedule impacts
Collaborate with stakeholders to define, develop, and document processes, and workflows and refines established processes for cost-effective and efficient hardware management practices from initial production to long-term sustainment
Identifies hardware obsolescence issues and coordinates resolution and mitigation plans with the relevant stakeholders
Develops, monitors, and presents key performance metrics to senior management

POSITION SUMMARY

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Represents Axiom Space as the primary company point of contact for the payload projects, managing the client project throughout its entire life cycle.
Supports proposal development including task/milestone definition and detailed cost/schedule estimates.
Develops and documents a detailed understanding of the client project including overall requirements, success criteria, and constraints.
Establishes and maintains overall project schedules tracking budgets, key milestones, and deliverables.
Manages all expectations and communication with the client including organization of regular meetings with client to support project development and execution.
Organizes and leads internal payload progress meetings to support payload development schedules, mitigate potential issues and develop customer friendly solutions.
Assists clients in defining and providing various payload data sets required by space station and transportation vehicle including developing safety, logistics, verification, and operations documentation.
Assists clients by participating in major payload integration milestones including but not limited to design reviews, operations reviews, flight and ground safety reviews, verification, and certification reviews.
Coordinates with Axiom teams to develop and offer solutions, such as:
Engineering team to supply client with Axiom provided hardware and software solutions ensuring that the engineering team is always informed on client and project needs.
Operations team to support client development of crew training and mission operations products.
Participates in anomaly resolution when on-orbit anomalies occur during real-time ops.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a resilient, high-energy, experienced PLSS Mechanical Engineer, who will primarily be responsible for aiding Axiom's Portable Life Support System (or AxPLSS) team with the development, maturation, and operation of spaceflight hardware to support the Axiom Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Spacesuit. This role will develop, iterate, and mature single-suit architecture designs for multiple mission environments (microgravity, partial gravity) by owning product delivery timelines through concept, design, fabrication, assembly, delivery, on-orbit demonstration, and on-orbit services.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and create modern space suit standards and practices, driving Axiom to the forefront of space suit production and operation
Generate and/or review CAD models, engineering schematics, drawings, analysis, assessments, and procedures for components, assemblies, and suit assembly
Establish an efficient product lifecycle starting in the supply chain all the way through final integration that balances cost, complexity, and quality
Validate designs by analysis or test, building development articles as needed
Lead design and production reviews internally and externally with suppliers and customers
Support the manufacturing and assembly of hardware in the facility and through on-orbit operation
Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
Perform additional job duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field required
5+ years' experience in life support engineering, or similar role preferred
Strong understanding of space environments (grounding/bonding, thermal, vacuum, regolith) and how they affect design decisions
Experience in defining and implementing engineering standards, processes, and practices
Hands on experience building, testing, and/or assembling hardware
Familiarity with flight hardware development and certification
Experience designing complex systems that balance mass, cost, and capability
Knowledge of NASA or commercial space program standards
Track record of delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented Senior Embedded Flight Software Engineer to join our dynamic aerospace team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining firmware and flight software for spacecraft and advanced aerospace systems. You will work hands-on with embedded platforms, real-time operating systems, and mission-critical flight algorithms, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, reliable, and high-performance flight software.
