We are currently seeking a professional, innovative, and enthusiastic Executive Director for our Eastern Kentucky Chapter. This position is a high-visibility public-facing role focused on community partnerships, fundraising, and board leadership. This position supports region-partnered mission initiatives by providing facilitative leadership to local teams and by updating regional leadership on community needs and opportunities. Incumbents will also be responsible for strengthening relationships with our community partners by educating them on the programs and opportunities the American Red Cross offers. About the Position
The East Kentucky Volunteer and Field Operations Coordinator is part of ASP's New Build & Disaster Recovery program and reports to the East Kentucky Regional Director. They support and facilitate overall programmatic operations as part of the THRIVE (Transforming Homes and Rebuilding in Vulnerable Environments) Program in East Kentucky communities. The coordinator assists with management and oversight of field, volunteer, and construction activities within the program's service area. They coordinate volunteer engagement, managing field operations, and handling key construction administrative functions across East Kentucky.
The coordinator plays a critical role in pre-construction and site readiness, including coordinating utility setup, managing materials and equipment, and maintaining required documentation. This role works closely with ASP staff, volunteers, local jurisdictions, utility providers, vendors, and an external construction contractor who oversees subcontractors.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position based in our Hazard, Kentucky office. Irregular hours may be required. This role requires extensive travel between multiple construction sites, communities, and counties in East Kentucky, as well as other possible locations across ASP's service area.
Job Responsibilities
Volunteer Management
Partner with the Volunteer Department and program staff to coordinate volunteer schedules, site assignments, and work plans.
Serve as a primary contact for volunteer groups, providing orientation, basic skills training, and oversight.
Promote a safe, respectful, and mission-centered volunteer experience while ensuring stewardship of ASP resources.
Complete volunteer reports and maintain accurate participation records in coordination with the Volunteer Department.
Field Logistics, Materials & Site Readiness
Manage inventory of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Coordinate, within existing systems, the delivery, transport, storage, and setup of materials and equipment at worksites.
Ensure worksites are organized, stocked, safe, and operational prior to volunteer or contractor activity.
Construction Administration & Compliance

This will involve a collaborative effort including the recovering person, agency staff and other relevant stakeholders.
9. Support connections to community based, mutual self-help groups. Link individuals to appropriate professional resources when needed. Provide vision-driven hope and encouragement for opportunities at varying levels of involvement in community based activities (e.g., work, school, relationships, physical activity, self-directed hobbies, etc.).
10. Develop relationships with community groups/agencies in partnership with others in the agency. 11. As recovery specialist position evolves and knowledge increases, visit community resources with recovering persons to assist them in becoming familiar with potential opportunities.
12. Identify barriers (internal and external) to full participation in community resources and developing strategies to overcome those barriers.

About the Position
The East Kentucky Volunteer and Field Operations Coordinator is part of ASPs New Build & Disaster Recovery program and reports to the East Kentucky Regional Director. The coordinator assists with management and oversight of field, volunteer, and construction activities within the programs service area. The coordinator plays a critical role in pre-construction and site readiness, including coordinating utility setup, managing materials and equipment, and maintaining required documentation. This role works closely with ASP staff, volunteers, local jurisdictions, utility providers, vendors, and an external construction contractor who oversees subcontractors.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position based in our Hazard, Kentucky office. Irregular hours may be required. This role requires extensive travel between multiple construction sites, communities, and counties in East Kentucky, as well as other possible locations across ASPs service area.
Job Responsibilities
Volunteer Management

JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The Clinical Therapist will be responsible for developing and monitoring a service plan in agreement with each resident assigned, in an effort to empower residents to cope and deal with their substance use. Will provide assessment/evaluation, individual, group, and family therapies, case management and referral services for residents on a consistent basis. Will also assist with daily operations/crisis intervention as needed. Will have some on-call and after-hour requirements.
* The position requires a minimum of a Master's degree in social work or related field AND the accompanying certification (CSW, MFT, LPCA) with a preference given to a clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC).
* Preference given to candidates who have completed a practicum working in behavioral health and substance use issues. The position requires a proven ability in providing clinical services in addition to communications, social casework, and billing requirements with KY Medicaid.
* Responsible for the overall clinical services to women/children/families that may have behavioral health and substance abuse issues. It requires a reasonable combination of the following knowledge and skills; work with mental illness and addiction, use of cognitive behavioral therapies and twelve step facilitation skills, use of community resources and ability to serve as an appropriate role model.
* Compassion towards people living with behavioral health and substance use issues, and Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS. Ability to convey respect to the target populations are critical. Must learn and apply agency, personnel and program policies and procedures.
* Must have knowledge and understanding of the current treatment modalities and the ability to train and supervise any social work interns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To provide assessment/evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment (individual, group, family therapies, case management, and referral services) of substance use disorders directly to clients of Volunteers of America Mid-States.
* Provide clinical services daily to individuals/clients on case load (both individual and group sessions).
* Participate in weekly clinical supervision.
* Maintain billing requirements along with understanding of BHSO, AODE, and KY Medicaid Regulations.
* Manage caseload and client needs.
* To develop and monitor service plans for individuals on assigned caseload.
* Work effectively with referral sources and community partners.
* To provide assessment, individual, group, family therapies, case management and referral services to residents (including substance use, behavioral health, job placement and educational programs).
* Document services through current, complete records.
* To provide crisis counseling on personal, financial, employment, behavioral crisis and substance use matters for residents.
* Advise other staff on treatment matters and coordinate team treatment as appropriate.
* To maintain statistical data on all residents on caseload through reporting.
* To review service plans with staff and update files in accordance with CRR.
* To monitor and enforce compliance of residents within programs as assigned.
* To complete initial intakes as assigned.
* To complete discharge planning as assigned.
* To participate in case conferencing and regular staff meetings with addiction recovery team.
* To assist with daily operation of the residential program and coverage (including Holidays and any aftercare programs within programs) as needed.
* Assist with special projects, such as Quality Assurance and assist with ensuring compliance with COA standards and CRR requirements.
* Assist with documentation control on therapist files as assigned.
* Participate in regular client review.
* Maintain a current CPR and First Aid certificate.
* Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervisor and PQI committee.
