The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: * Utilizes scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems. * Prepares technical work plans and reports. * Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance. * Plan, execute, analyze and report on environmental measures in natural systems. * Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management * Manages and directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects * Leads teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices * Apply knowledge of natural sciences (chemistry, physics, biology, hydrology, and mathematics) to explain observations. * Utilizes existing technologies and past experience to develop technical solutions to complex problems * Conduct oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies. * Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance * Analyzes financial statements and completes budget tracking * Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area manager * Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies * Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team * Supervises junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project work * Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement * Flexibility to work on a multitude of projects, a positive attitude, and commitment to workplace health and safety Qualifications Minimum Requirements * BA/BS in Geology or related field + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education * Valid U.S. Driver's License * Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required Preferred Qualifications * Masters Degree in Geology or related field * Professional License (PG) * 7+ years of experience in environmental remediation (soil and water) project management * Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations * Experience with developing conceptual site models, and preparing remediation strategies * Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees. * OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification * Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and safely drive a full-size pickup truck. * Be medically fit for wearing a respirator * Ability to travel.
