Engages in play activities with children at their level. * Interacts with children in a way which conveys respect and nurturing. Supports the social and emotional development of children. * Maintains open, friendly and cooperative relationships with each child's family and encourages their involvement in program services. * Assists in preparing snacks for children and instructs children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toileting. Assists children with health and personal habits as needed, including diapering. * Uses a family-centered, culturally sensitive approach to provide support and assistance to families.
