We are seeking an IndustrialElectrician to join our crew in Decatur, Alabama. As an IndustrialElectrician, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. The person in this position will ensure that all electrical systems, components, and equipment are installed professionally and to the specifications of our clients. We seek highly motivated individuals who are passionate and eager to learn and grow within the electrical trade.
The Responsibilities
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local, state, and national codes.
Connect wire to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Test electrical systems, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Be able to prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Place conduit, pipes or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
Ability to direct, train, or lead crew members to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
Demonstrated ability to safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools as well as being able to work from ladders, scaffolds or at heights above 25 feet.
Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as being attentive to detail.
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing I.C.E. Contractors.
The Requirements
Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with installations, maintenance, and repairing of low-voltage systems.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record within the last three years.
Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.
Experience with operating various types of man lifts and the ability to work at various different heights.
A passion for the Electrical trade!

Plans details of working procedures to determine material or replacement needs and determines a logical approach to repair problems.
Service electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuit modules, printed circuit boards and similar electronic devices.
Perform plant-wide electronic and electrical maintenance making operating adjustment as required.
Maintain and install communication cables, power distribution cables and wiring, and performs splicing as required.

Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Products - Trinity is seeking applicants for an Electrical Technician position. The Electrical Technician will safely provide support to the maintenance and operations teams by performing routine preventative maintenance, addressing breakdowns, and assisting in upgrades as necessary to improve the reliability of the equipment and process. Duties include but are not limited to minor/extensive repair calls, preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, equipment troubleshooting and installation, root cause analysis, and any other necessary task(s) that are outside of the normal capabilities of production personnel. The successful candidate will demonstrate the willingness and ability to troubleshoot, use good judgement, and make proper decisions in compliance with safety policies (JHA's, SJP's, LOTO) throughout the facility and with equipment used and maintained, all of which are necessary for meeting job expectations and the prevention of downtime.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:
Two-year technical degree in an electrical/electronics discipline and a minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance or 5 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
Demonstrate knowledge of electrical distribution systems, controls, automation, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, preventive maintenance of industrial equipment.
Willingness to work rotating shift, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekends, holidays.
Must be knowledgeable of electrical safe work practices.
Must be knowledgeable in the use of electrical testing equipment, multimeter, insulation resistance tester, etc.
Must be able to demonstrate proper communication skills between shifts and departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Siemens S7 and TIA Portal experience
Siemens VFD experience
Basic hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge
Steel making/steel products manufacturing experience
Basic network/network communications knowledge
Crane maintenance knowledge
