Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Licensed Electrician to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of a variety of HVAC and electrical systems, including chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, air handlers, VAVs, FTBs, and related plant equipment. You will play a key part in ensuring a safe workplace, driving safety awareness, and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and electrical equipment in plant and office environments.
Perform predictive, preventive, and proactive electrical maintenance and analysis.
Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
Test electrical systems and circuits using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure safety and compatibility.
Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in systems and components using test equipment and hand tools.
Advise management immediately if continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Provide emergency support by operating generators, UPSs, switchgears, and other critical systems.
Assist with inspection and maintenance of life safety systems.
Place conduit and pull wires or cables through designated areas as required.
Plan and install wiring and equipment based on job specifications and blueprints.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and replacements.
Instruct and mentor lower-level technicians and guide temporary or seasonal employees.
Develop and communicate schedules for periodic testing of critical equipment

Required Qualifications:
State Electrician's License (Arizona)
5+ years of experience as an electrician (including professional experience, apprenticeship, or relevant education such as a BS in Electrical Engineering)

The Journeyman Electrician is a skilled field technician responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems per the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, NFPA 70E guidelines, and 48 Electric's internal policies. This role plays a vital part in delivering mission-critical projects by upholding safety, quality, and integrity across every job site.
Journeyman Electricians must have their own tools, reliable transportation, be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a drug test and background check. We work in a highly professional environment, not a general construction jobsite. Professionalism is a requirement.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes
Requirements:
Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Maintain housekeeping of warehouse to meet safety standards and follow all safety guidelines
* Perform visual, electrical, mechanical, electronic inspection of tools, report and flag any non-compliant items
* Test all generator components on large electrical equipment
* Troubleshoot and repair damaged electrical components and equipment as well as preventative maintenance
* Read line drawings for repair and troubleshooting activities and electrical codes
* Follow Standard Maintenance Protocols, tasks and adhere to site safety, quality, company, and government requirements
* Repair and maintain test and industrial equipment and perform quality hand solder repair to the board or component level
* Willingness to be on call for emergency equipment troubleshooting
* Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure that each generator toolkit has the proper tools needed.
* Coordinate, label, and package all generator tooling needed for each outage project.
* Quality assurance check each kit before shipping to make sure there is a kit template and a calibration certificate enclosed if necessary.
* Timely completion of kit assembly to meet tool center schedule requirements
* Ensure that kits are delivered with no quality issues (missing parts or non-working parts).
* Review inventory of tools returned from site to ensure all items are accounted for as outlined in inventory sheets
* Clean, reorganize, and relabel all returned toolkits
* Create and submit restock requests for replacement parts and tools.
* Complete required, annual safety training
* Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
