The duties of the SWPPP Inspector will be to inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with environmental features of project plans and environmental commitments made to our customer with respect to the project construction and potentially impacted environmental features reporting observations orally and in writing to customer site contact. Other duties will include: Inform Environmental Compliance Inspectors and/or other members of the Environmental Compliance Team of observations, violations, activities, etc. Contact supervisor for priorities and deadlines in the field. Resolve differences in the interpretation of plans and specifications. Ensure the safe utilization, storage and maintenance of all documents and tools. Update Direct Report on progress and delays on every task or assignment. Ensure safe usage and maintenance of individually assigned company vehicle and field equipment. Meet established project deadlines. Carry out assigned duties in accordance with established procedures. Prepare and submit accurate, legible, comprehensive and complete inspection reports on a daily basis in accordance with established quality procedures. Review plans, specifications, and shop/working drawings for project activities. Meet with contractor's supervisors or other project leaders on assigned project sites to discuss and coordinate environmental compliance activities, corrections to existing controls, and implementation of additional controls. Prepare reports on findings to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal environmental laws, rules, regulations, and policies. Evaluate environmental impact of construction activities including water quality/wetland/hazardous material geological, cultural or historic resources. Keep abreast of current environmental developments to include laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Responsible for maintenance and update of water quality records such as Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental controls. The API Inspector is responsible for performing inspections on pressure vessels, piping, tanks, and other static mechanical equipment in accordance with applicable API codes (e.g., API 510, API 570, API 653). The role ensures the mechanical integrity and safety compliance of assets during operations, turnarounds, and outages. A growing machine shop in the League City area is seeking a Dimensional QC Inspector on a direct hire basis. This position will be working in a QC/QA team of about 6-8 employees in performing dimensional inspection an raw materials, in-process parts, and completed parts. Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of quality control inspection experience in a machine shop or similar manufacturing facility, and be well versed on precision measurement devices such as mics, calipers, gauges, etc. Responsibilities This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager specific responsibilities include: Create Inspection Report Template for new parts, maintain existing inspection report templates Inspects all parts received from OSS Perform first article, in-process, and post fabrication inspections using a variety of precision measurement devices - OD/ID mics, calipers, plug gauges, optical comparator, etc. - must be proficient with both conventional (analog) and digital Supervise or perform engraving when needed Review all Material Test Reports (MTR's) Inspects all completed parts prior to packaging for shipping Supervise packaging to ensure parts aren't damaged after final inspection, and document as needed Sign-off on shipment of parts after packaging inspection and loading is complete.
