Medical Device QC Inspector
Your responsibilities
The QC Inspector will be responsible for performing inspection on medical devices to specified requirements to determine product disposition. Will operate in accordance with company procedures, FDA Regulations, ISO 13485 and Canadian Medical Device Regulations, and other applicable requirements.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
· Perform mechanical, visual, packaging and document Inspection of orthopedic medical devices
· Complete all required documentation of the inspection results, on handwritten forms, and electronic spreadsheets or databases, in accordance with company procedures and work instructions.
· Identify and document potentially non-conforming product.
· Ensure non-conforming product is properly segregated and quarantined.
· Interface with other departments, to address and resolve any product related issues.
· Assist with labeling of product and label reconciliation.
· Perform line clearance to ensure that product integrity is maintained.
· Read, understand, and follow company procedures and policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Educational Requirements: High school diploma/GED (Required)
o Associate's Degree (Desired)
· Working knowledge of use of various gauges such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.
· Knowledge of quality practices, FDA Regulations and ISO 13485.
· Knowledgeable of inspection techniques.
· Basic understand of reading engineering drawings.
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
· Basic computer skills including a word processing, and spreadsheet, etc.

We are currently seeking inspector applicants who are qualified to work in the USA and have a history of direct experience completing commercial line inspections and/or have completed a training course such as, the VIITA Basic Commercial Line Inspector course or its equivalent.
Full Job Description of the Loss Control Inspector:
· Receives assignments electronically and reviews for inspection requirements.
· Schedules the inspection appointment with the Insured by phone, email, or text.
· Inspects the property for potential issues or hazards pertaining to utilities/building systems (heating, wiring, plumbing), common areas, maintenance, protections, and life safety, etc. Take 20-35 exterior/interior photos. Take measurements with a measuring wheel or with online tools as needed.
· Interviews the Insured for operations information, ages of the building systems, etc.
· Communicates inspection status through online application.
· Completes the inspection report on the web-based Loss Control 360 system with Rapid Sketch. Returns the completed report electronically (the reports consist of check-off questions, narrative, and digital photos).
Preferred skills:
3-5 years' experience providing commercial insurance loss control inspections
Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines: property, general liability, and worker's compensation
Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and communicate well verbally and in writing
Comfortable completing reports online and uploading documents
Other Recommended Skills:

Mortgage Property Inspection Overview:
Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on the properties they have financial interest in. The lender contracts with GIS to have inspectors go out to verify the property occupancy, report general property conditions, letter delivery/posting, vacant interior walk-through or insurance repair progress report. Majority of our inspections are basic exteriors where some do require contact by door knock or letter delivery. In addition, there will be some inspections which require interior access to secured/vacant properties and appointment-based insurance loss inspections.
Job Responsibilities:
Requires being able to spend extended periods of time driving
Efficient time management to route and complete inspections with an estimated 3-5 day turnaround time (this can vary) in your agreed territory
Make a determination of occupancy based on industry standards and report general property conditions
Using a mobile app, InspectorADE, to obtain all photographs, comments, and form documentation
