Job Summary
A position is available in the Cross Connection Department for a Cross Connection Inspector II. The position is responsible for inspecting customer premises, testing backflow prevention devices, identifying cross connection risks and potential solutions, and communicating corrective action to customers. In addition, this position will also be responsible for responding to field service complaints related to service, billing, and water quality on an as needed basis. Applicant must have a high school diploma and a valid Connecticut driver's license. Must also hold a Connecticut State Department of Public Health license as a Cross Connection Tester and Cross Connection Surveyor for Cross Connection Control. Must have excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, and be familiar with computer systems. A minimum of five (5) years' experience in water utility work or in related testing/inspecting. Knowledge of AWC service areas and distribution systems, ability to read, interpret and understand mechanical and detailed plumbing diagrams and blueprints are preferred as well as inspecting and testing experience.
Principal Responsibilities
Position requirements are as follows:
Inspect customer premises and identify/characterize existing cross connection risks, identify solutions, communicate corrective action required and associated costs to customers or contractors, and record all necessary information.
Test and repair backflow prevention devices, determine operating status, record data, communicate compliance status to customers, issue bills for testing, repair and material sales.
Must be able to work effectively with customers, contractors and local health officials to get violations corrected and devices repaired in a timely manner.
Maintain a current and thorough working knowledge of cross connection control regulations.
Must be able to respond to customer complaints regarding service and represent the Company at service calls.
Must be able to locate service lines and curb boxes, install new piping and repair existing lines.
Operate gate valves, fire hydrants, and other appurtenances.

Lead is a poisonous substance found in most homes in New Haven, especially those built before 1978. In fact, over 80% of New Haven homes are likely to contain lead. When exposed to lead, children or adults can have permanent and severe health problems.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS This is a technical position under the general supervision of the Environmental Health Program Director or designee in the Department of Health to perform investigations, education, and outreach for the prevention of childhood lead poisoning. Work includes inspections for the purpose of determining the presence of lead-based paint and surface coverings and lead in soil, dust and drinking water. Work is performed within the framework of existing laws, ordinances, policies, and regulations. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspects buildings and dwellings for possible sources of lead poisoning.

Job Summary:
Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Quality Control Inspector. In this role, you'll play a key role in ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards.
Job Duties:
* Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality, as well as electrical testing as required.
* Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements
* Reviewing blueprints, electrical schematics, and specifications to compare to produced goods and generating an inspection report to document all deviations.
* Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database
* Assist in training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
* Proposing improvements to the production process
* Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements
* Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
* Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
* Comprehension and operation of basic electrical measuring equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Associates degree required

Summary:

* Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions clearly and accurately in NAI's quality management system.
* Verify proper soldering quality, component placement, workmanship, and mechanical fitment to meet NAI's aerospace and defense industry requirements.
* Inspect machined parts, enclosures, for dimensional accuracy and proper assembly.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
